Now isn’t this a nifty piece of news? We’d be perfectly happy if he did. It’s doubtful, but we can hope. Apparently Teddy crashed out on an interview. No riots or anything like that, just people exercising the right to freedom of speech. Frankly, it was rather entertaining even if we didn’t actually see it. Words on a page do it justice, so, with respect, let’s hear from Raw Story:
Alex Bruesewitz, a prominent adviser to President Donald Trump, issued a plea to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) on Saturday to “please stay off” television following a disastrous interview in which young Texans viciously booed the GOP lawmaker. Cruz sat down with ESPN’s “College GameDay” ahead of the University of Texas-Austin Longhorns and the Ohio State Buckeyes football match, but throughout the 10-minute-long interview, young sports fans could be heard chanting “Ted, you suck” and other taunts. Online critics were quick to join in on the mockery of Cruz, leading Bruesewitz to issue his plea.
Ouch. No, that isn’t going to help the Republican Party and Ken Paxton at all. Of course, nothing is going to help Paxton. More and more, he is showing that he’s a disastrous choice. But we were discussing Teddy. We already know that much of Congress … dislikes him. He’s a slime, as proven by Cancun Cruz during an epic storm that took out most of the power in Texas.
That booing was probably one helluva surprise. His constituents keep putting him back in office, and we don’t know why. He’s pretty worthless, and he is not well-liked in Congress. Has he done anything of note? Can’t say that he has. He sits there, rakes up space, and occasionally has something to say. He’s part of the Republican clique that does what Trump wants, no matter what, although he did join in with the push to get the Epstein files released.
That was something. All of Congress working together in sync for a change; would that it had lasted. Now we’re struggling to get another set of Epstein files released, and it’s not going well. We are nowhere near the 218 signatures, and time is running out. What else can we do to push out the rest of the files that the DoJ is holding?
“, we’re trying to win elections over here bro,” Bruesewitz wrote Saturday in a social media post on X to his more than 684,000 followers. “That means attracting more young voters, not driving them away. Your appearances on mainstream television act as a repellent to our efforts. Please stay off it. Respectfully.”
And the democrats laugh, including us. Ted Cruz is a poor choice to represent Republicans in Congress. Ted Cruz needs to keep his mouth shut, and not by putting his foot in it. Will he stay off television? Will he stay off social media? Will he sit down and shut up? He certainly seems to be doing more harm than good. But then this *is* Ted Cruz we’re discussing. Yet for an advisor to Trump to tell him he needs to stay off the media is pretty major. It’s also extremely funny. Texas has a Senate seat open, and the Democratic person running for the open Senate seat is hanging tough with his opponent, if not pulling slightly ahead. Having Texas’s other senator get *loudly* booed really isn’t going to help with Ken Paxton on the line.
So … Ted can talk again, oh yes, if he chooses, but it will do the opposite of what’s needed. It reflects very poorly on Republicans, and Ken Paxton needs help, not hurt. Paxton is a crap candidate. He needs help. Let’s help him to bow out of the running for a Senate seat in Congress.
