If it took way too long to finally get the bulk of the Epstein files it’s because Ag Bondi ordered special care be taken to protect not the names of the innocent/the victims. No it took this long to redact/protect the names of the GUILTY!
Long past the date mandated by law, even well past the date when the DOJ was required to justify to the court reasons for any redactions some 3 million plus pages of Epstein Files have been released today. AG Pam Bondi and the rest of Team Trump kept saying there was so much to go through they had to ensure full compliance, redacting things like for example survivor’s names and other sensitive information. NO ONE should be surprised that today, the release files DO in fact contain names of victims/survivors of child sexual abuse but NO names of those who committed that sexual abuse!
That folks is the initial takeaway. Some brave (now) women have come forward to push this process along because that’s the only way anything would have happened. They have been subjected to doxxing, vile threats and even death. If Pete Hegseth wants ‘warrior mentality’ these brave women should be held up as an example the the white ‘real American tough guy’ military he wants to create. Most of those subjected to the horrors Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell put them through have understandably remained silent. Not a one who has chosen to work through the demons visited upon them at the hands of their abusers should be faulted for dealing with those horrors privately. The priority for Trump, Bondi and others however is to PROTECT THE ABUSERS instead of the victims.
This is a breaking and fast developing story. Here’s a report from The Independent that’s a sort of running account of what’s taken place and who’s been saying what. Let’s start with the fact a large document dump has now taken place. One that should have taken place as I said long ago:
The Justice Department released at least three million pages of documents in the Epstein files Friday morning and insisted there was no new information that would “satisfy” people – indirectly referring to conspiracies about President Donald Trump, former president Bill Clinton, and others.
“I can assure that we complied with the statute, we complied with the act and we did not protect President Trump,” Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said during a press conference.
“I think that there’s a hunger or a thirst for information that I do not think will be satisfied by the review of these documents. And there’s nothing I can do about that.”
I call bullshit. I never expected the DOJ wouldn’t invent ways to protect Trump and from live reporting on TV as pundits go through things it’s clear DOJ has in fact gotten creative. Also, the DOJ is making a BFD out of ‘over five hundred people’ assigned after the law forcing release of the Epstein Files was passed to prepare them for release in complaince with specific aspects of the law.
Keep in mind that back in the spring of 2025 Bondi had DOJ/FBI put over a thousand people to work going through Epstein documents. The claim was to ensure redaction of names of victims, material that would compromise any ongoing investigations etc. Of course we all knew the REAL purpose was to scrub Trump’s name or give him as much time as possible to sow disinformation and/or cast blame on others!
After all that Bondi claimed ‘nothing much to see here’ and Team Trump did ALL they could to stonewall release of so much as a single page. Every drib and drab of information they release was done so with them making it seem like they were donating major organs to transplant. Strangely enough, MAGAs were as infuriated as ‘the libs’ were. They were foaming at the mouth, no doubt believing their Orange Hued Turd God Emperor Trump would be completely exonerated BUT Bill (and Hillary) Clinton would finally be “gotten.” It was the CLINTONS that would go down, or so they believed. There’s an old saying about politics making for strange bedfellows and that’s what happened. With only a single dissenting vote (some asshole GOP Representative) a law was passed to release the Epstein files.
To avoid the humiliation of a certain override Trump signed it. Then (we can be sure) ordered Bondi to ignore it. Or at the very least continue to fight to keep it all hidden. In the end Trump and Bondi knew they’d have to release an awful lot of it. They, or Bondi at least could also ‘read the room’ when it comes to an increasingly pissed off judiciary that’s fed up with Trumpian legal game playing. However today’s stunt could make Bondi’s (and Trump’s) problems far worse. As I’ve noted right off the bat identifying information for victims/survivors that SHOULD have been redacted was not – most victims haven’t come forward publicly and by law (even before this specific law was passed) should have been protected. However we now have a much better idea of what those ‘over five hundred people’ were doing:
They were protecting the names of criminals who sexually abused teenagers!
That’s right folks. Not a single name of anyone who was alleged to have helped themselves to sexual gratification from underage women, teenagers for chrissakes including outright rape has been found. Team Trump went the extra mile to protect the abusers! The victims who survived their ordeal? Not so much. In fact, Bondi’s DOJ has painted a target on the backs of women by what I say was an intentional ‘f**k all y’all for making Trump look bad.’ Even those who’s names did get redacted will live the rest of their lives in fear that Trump will have THEIR names released. With a not-so-subtle ‘hint’ that maybe his MAGAs should ensure ‘consequences.’
In addition to THAT, in an earlier release there was a document, I guess a memo that if I recall from what I saw on TV included a spreadsheet with names that discussed how the information would make Trump look bad. POOF! It’s gone! Like say Trump’s bone spurs. I’m thinking a judge isn’t going to take kindly to that either. Still, if you scroll through the link there are some statements that in context of what’s taken place appalling, flat-out lies:
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said that the DOJ did not know specific names or identities of men who may have abused young women, and that such information was unlikely to be uncovered in the newly released files.
“I do not whether there are men out there that abused these women,” Blanche told reporters Friday.
“If we learn about information and evidence that allows us to prosecute them, you better believe we will.
“But I don’t think the public is going to undercover men within the Epstein files that abused women. Unfortunately.”
I can’t help of the character Kyle in South Park in the Oval Office asking “Really? REALLY”
Blanche would have us believe that out of countless victims who number in the thousands that NOT ONE identified an abuser by name. Or gave that name to investigators when two decades ago the FBI conducted and actual investigation, the results of which then U.S. Attorney (and eventual Cabinet member in Trump’s first term) Alex Acosta swept under the rug. I call bullshit, Bullshit BULLSHIT! I say that because in the linked piece the section just prior shows entire pages blacked out. Completely redacted! Call me crazy, say I need to be fitted with an extra special tinfoil hat but I think all the redactions that have been made in this flood of documents contains, among other information damaging to Trump those very names Blanche ‘laments’ we’ll probably never learn.
I’m thinking this isn’t even close to being over. Team Trump, more specifically Bondi/the DOJ decided they were out of time and chose to flood the zone with what would look like a massive effort to comply with the law to release all the Epstein files. They hoped there’d be so much certain redactions would go unnoticed. Especially redactions that would shield Trump, and almost certainly acquaintances who he maybe still has contact with. By NOT redacting ALL the surviving victims names today’s release was also a THREAT.
Lots of names were redacted but allowing some to be released (and doing so was NO ‘oops’ or ‘accident’) and what’s happened is a shot across the bow. Or maybe a brick thrown through the window with a note attached – one which reads something like “Keep your f**king mouth shut or we’ll Doxx YOU and you’ll have MAGA after you!” Bondi should be impeached and so should Blanche. They should also be charged because a case can be made they orchestrated the committing of felonies. And they, and anyone involved in the final approval process of today’s release should be disbarred.
If there’s any good news it’s that since initial reporting doesn’t provide damning information on Bill (or Hillary) Clinton MAGAs aren’t likely to shut up. They will, at least on this join us in demanding actual compliance with the law. I’ll close with this: As hard as Trump has fought to make all this go away it seems evident he knows he’s screwed sideways with a rusty sewer pipe with what’s in the files. He’s also afraid of just having DOJ destroy it all (as is Bondi) because there might be copies on hard drives in safe deposit boxes, or hidden in actual DOJ offices in file cabinets and safes within old files that are about other matters. And that there are people who know just where to find them.
That tells me Epstein DID have dirt on Trump. Stuff so bad even the most hard core MAGAs would tear him to pieces over. Betrayal sometimes evokes the worst in people and the more devoted the person(s) betrayed, the more furious their response. I freely admit it’s speculation that Trump wouldn’t survive if what’s still hidden/redacted but I think what’s happened today is evidence of a huge fire behind all the smoke.
(****Note/Update: Just prior to posting this I saw a report that that spreadsheet that ‘mysteriously’ disappeared has suddenly re-appeared. Ten bucks says it’s because Team Trump’s ass was caught on this one so quickly!)

My thoughts:
1. There are NO direct accusations against Trump
2. With others, the Trump name is threaded through the reports
3. These allegations seem, at best, to have been lightly investigated.
4. This is Monday morning quarterbacking and, no doubt, the procedures, technologies and more of the time meant that they were looked at individually. However, had anyone taken an overview, they most certainly would have warranted an in depth focus.
5. It would be reasonable to assume these are the tip of an iceberg. There were likely many other incidents which went unreported. One can only guess why but, as we are dealing with people, the reasons would be varied: shame, lack of awareness of seriousness or process, threat, bribery, opportunistic taking advantage…..
In summary, there are NO direct allegations against Trump. Nonetheless, he did not distance himself from this miasma and, it would appear, he wended through all this slush like Mr Magoo and emerged as pure as the driven snow. Kudos to him.
I truly believe this just as I believe Bill Clinton tried marijuana but “did not inhale”.
As infuriating as this is, I hope the judge holds them fully accountable to completely comply with the law.

So the pathological political parasite managed to pull off another crack at hiding their sordid past: can’t dodge that smoking projectile, for eternity. Must have been some very focussed and crafty reviews and editing of the relevant sections of said files, eh?

This has been my hope since the first talk of getting the Epstein files released, that previous DOJ/FBI agents envisioned what might happen to these files if a “bad actor” got into the White House or even just into the DOJ/FBI. I have always hoped that someone hid copies of the files SOMEPLACE: buried in the back yard, at somebody’s off-the-grid fishing cabin, in your grandmother’s underwear drawer…ANYPLACE the “bad actors” would never think to look. And said files could be released at a point in time when they would not be tampered with, redacted , or destroyed. I pray that such copies exist!
Remember his first AG was Bill Barr. Barr did a masterful job of covering Bush 41’s ass on Iran Contra. He’s old school and knew better than to destroy evidence. I can only imagine how appalled he was as some of the Trump evidence was presented to him during his tenure when Epstein was finally taken down. However Barr knew how to hide evidence, ‘accidently on purpose’ misfiling things but ensuring if shit hit the fan it could be located and produced. Bondi is nowhere in Barr’s league but I suspect SHE made the same assumption I did. She’s still young enough to want to hang on to her law license. Plus, if she fails to cover Trump on this he might not pardon her. PLUS she’d spend the rest of her life and any money she’s got defending herself as a pardon would have credible ‘corrupt intent’ attached and could be ruled invalid!
