And it’s all to do with the ACAs. She did something she’s never done before, and it won’t ever happen again. Of course, she’s now known for making the best decisions, even though this one *was* good, just “not” for her. Has anyone seen “Beetlejuice” lately? But this was not a bad decision like that; it was a “bad”, embarrassing slip for her. Thank you, Raw Story:
A surprising new Republican crossed the aisle to vote to advance a Democratic proposal to extend Affordable Care Act subsidies: Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO). But she soon came forward to clarify that she made a mistake. According to Punchbowl News’ Jake Sherman, Boebert, along with Rep. Jen Kiggans (R-VA), added their names to an existing group of nine Republicans who joined Democrats in procedural votes in favor of the legislation, which was mandated by a Democratic discharge petition that overrode House GOP leadership.
Oops. She did *not* want to do that. Bless her black little heart. She must have been horrified to find out she voted with *gasp* DEMOCRATS. Oh, good grief. The Epstein files don’t count because *everyone* except for one idiot voted to pass that law. This was different!
The development took political observers aback because Boebert is a far-right lawmaker who generally backs Trump and GOP leadership on everything. One or two commenters on social media even speculated this might be revenge for Trump’s veto of a water quality project in her district, which he did to punish the state of Colorado for not freeing a jailed election conspiracy theorist. But shortly thereafter, Boebert responded to Sherman’s post to X with a different explanation. Boebert’s post included a picture of herself holding an “Incorrect Vote Form,” notifying House leadership that she intended to vote against the measure but voted in favor of it in error.
Error *snort* Yup, officially OOPS.
Her vote being removed didn’t change the bill’s overall outcome, which passed in the House this afternoon.
Don’t worry, Hoh-bert. (Say that out loud. Quietly.) She didn’t change the world by accidentally voting with Democrats. Her slate is clean. She wasn’t the “tipping point” that would cause something to pass or not. She just flubbed. (She’s so good at that.) I thought a little humor would be good to close out my day (your night). And this really is humorous! She must have panicked when she realized what she had done. That would have been something to see! But now, my brain is not brain-ing. So yes, an even shorter piece for a little fun. Hope you enjoyed!
Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise, among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

Uh-oh. Now Drumpf can point to this little bit of “voting fraud” as proof of his larger claims.
I guess Bobo’s done the 2026 version of Florida’s “hanging chads.”
Oh, lawd. Good point and when will we hear it from Trump? Seriously.
Yeah, that was much-needed humour, thank you!
I love your light touch; you don’t grab it, shake it and hammer it down, you hold it up like, “Look what I found!” and let it speak for itself. I love your work!
Aw thank you! *blush* it was supposed to be unserious and I’m glad it worked! This is why I go off the beaten trail for my columns 🙂
To be fair, voting correctly is a lot harder than hand movement in someone else’s lap.
Arguably out of her area of expertise – or competence.
How long has Booby been in Congress now? This is her 6th year? Well, no wonder. It takes a good decade or more for the boobies of this world to learn stuff outside their sphere of expertise.
Oh, mercy, boobies ahahahahahaha! Let’s just say my opinion of hers is *cough* “unreal” good grief!
*sputter* I just spit my drink on my monitor. Well done.
