Interesting how today’s GOP prioritizes public office. Public office is
1. Not about serving;
2. Not about keeping the constituents happy;
3. It’s not even about keeping the constituents ALIVE.
4. It’s about being a talking head on Fox News, while people keel over from COVID.
You see that figure, over 60,000? Does it remind you of anything? What’s that you say? The 58,000 who died in Vietnam?
Funny you should mention that. Guess what? There’s another Republican governor who’s also batting in this league.
Twenty years ago we thought that the 9/11 attack was horrific. 3,900 died in that. It’s almost quaint by comparison. The Taliban made the mistake of not putting Republican governors in charge of 9/11.And none of this needs to happen. That’s the tragedy of this. COVID treatment in these states is about talking points, QAnon, conspiracy theory and playing to the base. Not about public health.
That is unconscionable.
DeSantis has put up some tweets today about how great everything is going in Florida. He’s straight out of “1984.” If he thinks he can get you to believe something, and send the truth down the memory hole, that’s what he’s going to do.
The truth be damned, and all the Republicans with it … they have reached the dreaded max that they can do right up to the revelation to ALL citizens, ACTUAL on-going piles of bodies and absolute over-run hospital reports … and I’m convinced, with school supers calling for masks, testing for covid, all done in opposition to the orders of the Republican Governors, the shift to truth will be too late, so Fox and others will slime their way out of the spotlight … and the kids going to the hospitals goes on, and apparently Texas and Florida Governors don’t give a damn …
Trump is fast becoming the non-person, his exploding head from reports of his desire for war a, “treason problem with the General”, and lots of witnesses now letting out everything Trump and his blow-ups in the white house, because things had not gone horrible enough for Trump’s cruel intentions …
The walls are not only closing in on DJT, they will make it difficult to stand in front of a mirror for an hour getting his comb-over just right, elbows bouncing off those re-positioned walls …

Our soliders were being killed by a foreign enemy, not the president.. Oh, & the country was in a continual uproar over it.
