From the people we love to hate, here’s something we didn’t see coming. As a matter of fact, it would probably be the just-about-last thing to be expected. Someone’s abuses backfired, and this is not something for which one could bribe (or whatever the correct “wink, wink, nudge, nudge” excuse solution) their way out of, as it absolutely would not work. It’s not going to happen, no matter how fancy a lawyer someone might have. For this, one would have to suck it up and deal with it. From Raw Story:
An employee of Immigration and Customs Enforcement was arrested during a sex trafficking sting, law enforcement in Minnesota said. At a press conference on Tuesday, Bloomington Police Chief Booker Hodges said that authorities conducted “Operation Creep” between Nov. 5 and Nov. 8. According to the chief, investigators used several methods to track down and arrest 16 men who were trying to solicit a 17-year-old girl for sex.
Ahahaha. OOPS. No, sir, you have been busted, and this is going to take you down and take you down hard. He ought not even be let out of jail on bond. This is something that can’t easily be wiped away. And he was one of many! That’s some serious, “I’m untouchable” nonsense. It doesn’t matter who he works for or who any of them worked for in a situation like this. An underage girl. If you layer this on top of the whole, starting-to-be-public Epstein files, damn if it doesn’t make it worse.
The auditor who works for ICE could face federal charges as a result of the sting, Hodges said. “When he was arrested, he said, ‘I’m ICE, boys,'” the police chief explained. “Well, unfortunately for him, we locked him up.” Some of the men were taken into custody by ICE.
Now isn’t that ironic? It didn’t help him, and then to have other members of ICE help with other arrests is just beautiful. In something like this, it doesn’t matter who he “belongs” to. Remember Bratty Matty Getz? Now wouldn’t it be something to know exactly why the case against him was dropped? We have to hope that the same doesn’t happen for this yahoo. Actually, we need to hope this doesn’t happen for *any* of them.
“We don’t have a way to verify someone’s status here at the Bloomington Police Department,” Hodges noted. The police chief also called on lawmakers to pass legislation “so these companies can’t continue to have these people on their platforms.”
It shouldn’t matter who these people work for. They were caught in a sting for an underage girl. These people don’t need to be protected. They need to be dragged through the mud. And this all assumes that they don’t “commit suicide” in their jail cell. That would be far too easy. They need to stay in prison for the rest of their lives. The only people we should feel sorry for are their families, since we can be pretty sure the families were NOT in on it. And if my family were caught in this? I’d move away and disappear, especially if we had children. There would be no trust left. There would be *nothing* left.
Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise, among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

This doesn’t surprise me in the least. Considering who/what is running these operations it really shouldn’t surprise anyone!
It did surprise me in a disgusted kind of way because the act itself was disgusting. I have no sympathy whatsoever for the guys that do this. It’s a special kind of sick. I hated just writing about it. But I also needed to.
Each state’s solicitation laws are different. In some I think for a first offense a state prosecutor might charge it as a misdemeanor, especially if it’s some ‘upstanding’ white guy who’s at least upper middle income. However in many states there have been crackdowns in prostitution and/or soliciting laws so it can be a felony. For damned sure if the prostitute is underage it’s a felony. Yes, Trump could pardon the asshat on any federal charges but this can also be charged at the STATE level which Trump is powerless to forgive via pardon. Charge that sumbtich ‘stateside’ and if Gnome/Trump try to pressure the state prosecutor to back off I’m betting he will say f**k off.
