We have a real lulu running for the U.S. House on the Republican ticket, naturally, in VA-04. His name is Leon Benjamin. He managed to survive his primary because it was canceled. That’s the best way to go, actually, if you can arrange for it or get lucky. The other two candidates were disqualified or withdrew.
So by default we have MAGA pastor Benjamin.
Here you will see him banishing witches, warlocks and demons. What’s that you say? Are they a recognized voting block now? Quiet. This is Holy Hour.

No God of my understanding would send this guy out for a pack of cigarettes, let alone to Congress. Plus, I think it’s disrespectful, not to mention tacky as hell, that this guy’s blowing the shofar on Rosh Hashanah. Wait until the Jews get wind of this after the fact. They won’t think it’s cute.
If it’s the Wingnut Gawd, then so do I. This right-wing Nazi Gawd is no one that I recognize, and that view is shared by quite a few Christians, who are not rolling down the aisles or handling snakes. Or blowing the shofar to ward off demons. I guess it’s all the rage.

What I’m waiting for next is for Kimberly Guilfoyle to put on one of her low cut getups, grab one of these horns and scream nonstop at some rally, following by an exotic dance with the shofar. Followed of course by Junior cutting another public service announcement and trying to keep his eyes open.

Personally, I think its hilarious! No clue what the shofar means, or why. Culturally appropriate all you want, you’re just showing the world how utterly ignorant you are. And I’m laughing!
