I know that Mehmet Oz is in the running to have his picture appear next to the word “carpetbagger” in the dictionary, but he might also be in the running in the “sucker” category. The good doctor — who is neither good nor a doctor, he’s a snake oil salesman — apparently thinks he’s winning the hearts of Pennsylvanians with his ludicrous photo ops.
You know, the ones where he’s perched on a tractor playing the part of a good ole boy and his $70,000 car is in the background? Now Oz has the photo you see at the top here, pure tourist B.S. and that’s just the beginning.
He wants you to believe he’s a part of Pennsylvania and he’s a part of Pennsylvania like I was a part of Hawaii when the Dole Pineapple man and the fresh water pearl lady got to me — they can smell tourists.
Do you even live in Pa? And can you spell the town you live in? 😂.

Yeah, they love him in Philly.

Oz is running out of money. And he hasn’t had any ads on the air since the third week of May. That’s two months ago. Politico:
But some in the GOP are worried that Oz is wasting time that he should be spending making a positive case for himself on the airwaves, especially after a bruising primary in which his opponents spent tens of millions of dollars in commercials going after him. Oz’s unfavorable rating is 50 percent, while 28 percent view him favorably, according to the Suffolk poll. Fetterman’s favorable-unfavorable rating, by contrast, is 45-27. The same survey showed Fetterman ahead of Oz in a head-to-head race by nine points. […]
“A lot of people in the GOP — both the establishment and local Pennsylvania GOP — underestimate Fetterman,” said Sean Parnell, a former Republican Senate candidate who dropped out of the 2022 race amid a child custody battle in which his estranged wife alleged abuse. “This is a guy that has on the left what Donald Trump has on the right. He’s got a very strong populist appeal that doesn’t just appeal to base Democrats.”
Two other polls conducted in mid-June showed Fetterman ahead by 6 and 4 points, respectively.
A Pennsylvania Republican operative who requested anonymity to speak frankly argued that Oz should be on television now: “It’s not complicated. … Drive up Fetterman’s negatives and bolster your positives.”
Oz’s campaign declined to share details about its TV plans and did not respond to a question about whether Oz planned to spend more of his own money on the campaign. But his team pointed out that Republican Senate nominees in the battleground states of Ohio, North Carolina and Nevada have also not aired TV ads since their primaries in May and June, and expressed confidence that the Oz campaign will have the funds it needs to tell his story.
“We’re raising a lot of money. … It’s a very clear ask if you don’t want John Fetterman to be a senator,” said Casey Contres, Oz’s campaign manager. “Fetterman is spending money right now because he knows he has a lot of issues.”
If you missed it, Jimmy Kimmel put up the best Oz ad yet. Go to 4:21.
(You can’t unsee #HotDogTeddy. I may have nightmares for months. My apologies, I should have posted a trigger warning.)
Back to Oz v. Fetterman, all I can say is Pat Toomey is one thing but this Trump knock off, TV clown is quite another. I think Fetterman will hand Oz his ass and the Democrats another seat in the Senate. I hope so. Oh, do I hope so.

Rudi told Oz there was a porn shop on the corner of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Oz is hard to place in a category, he seems to be in a world of his own making … I would hope he has more sense than trump, well, EVERYONE has more sense than Trump, but, they both are TV stars … Trump’s 20 words of wisdom he uses with all the hand signs and rubber face comments, all totally worn so thin, daylight shines right through …
Oz, on the other hand, DOES a BUNCH of stunts and is more entertaining, however, the clown factor, clouds out his positives …
Mr. Oz, I cannot bring myself to refer to him as any kind of medical person, has backed/sold so much crap, not just snake oil mind you but actual dangerous shit, as “medicine” and “miracle drugs”, I think it actually IS safe to say he has no more sense than former guy.
He is closer to Carson. Educated at Harvard and UPenn, which means he had good grades and MCATs. Residency at Columbia and a,professor at Clumbia,Med.
He is the definition of the Peter Principle: highly successful.in one field,,driven to.find something he can fail at. Apparently a well cardiac surgeon, highly rayed tv shoe host (his ratings are what I refer to; his show stinks and reduces him.to.a,snake oil.salesman pushing g dubious products). He will fail.atvpolitics. From.what I have seen, Pennsylvanians love Fetterman, only recognize Oz,from his TV show name recognition. Knowing someone’s name doesn’t guarantee people consider you competent. If name rec decided elections, then Hugh Her net would have been governor of California with Jenna Jamison as his VP.
My classification of him: the Republican Michael Dukakis.
Remember Ben Carson? He was a respected neurosurgeon until he hooked up with Trump.
He may have been an excellent surgeon, but his common sense seems a bit lacking. Now his reputation seems to be in tatters to me. I’m guessing only the trombies actually respect him.
