What would you have said was Mehmet Oz’s greatest campaign weakness? Lack of experience in the political arena? That’s never held back any hopeful candidate on either side. However, in comparison to John Fetterman’s experience, Oz is 0 for 1.
How about the fact that he isn’t a Pennsylvanian and chooses to retain Turkish nationality through his immigrant parents? John Fetterman was born and raised in Pennsylvania and is 100% American to the core. Oz is 0 for 3.
How about the fact that Oz has voted in more Turkish elections than American, his main US residence is in New Jersey and when he did buy a house in Pennsylvania he misspelled the name of the town when he registered to vote from that address? Yep, Oz is now 0 for 6.
While all these facts are fair game for the Democrat’s campaign, none is actually Oz’s greatest weakness. So what is it? The media pundits didn’t work it out but John Fetterman did and he’s taking advantage of it in the best way!
Let’s look at the ad Fetterman’s campaign released this week, the Snooki Cameo:
At a cost of $393.75 to the campaign, this was a lot of bang for very few bucks! The favourable responses varied from long to short:
“That was GOLD! Snooki was absolute perfection in that! Hahaha. “Don’t worry, it’s only temporary.” Damn. She’s good! And she’s completely correct! 😂👏🏻🤗”

At this point, let me record that Mehmet Oz did not respond to the Snooki Cameo – and this is notable.
Moving on…
Fetterman followed up within 24 hours with this tweet in response to Oz’s feeble attempt to appeal to Pennsylvanian residents.

In one line, John pierces Mehmet’s mediocrity with military precision.
You see, Fetterman is wickedly funny – Oz isn’t. He isn’t humorous. He isn’t witty. He has no repartee to come to his aid. He can’t even slap a convincing smile on his face. So he can’t respond in kind. His total lack of comic sense leaves him completely defenceless against Fetterman’s laser-sharp wit.
It’s a stroke of genius from the Democratic campaign. Oz comes off as pathetically weak in comparison to Fetterman’s dominant strength and that isn’t going to go down well with Republican voters. They are contemptuous of all weakness of any kind. They revere what they perceive as strength and it’s glaringly obvious that Mehmet doesn’t have it.
Democrats, on the other hand, love to be entertained. This comment in response to the Snooki Cameo, says it all:
“Fetterman already had my vote, but if he didn’t this would have been the tipping point. Lol.”

It will be the tipping point for many PA voters and motivation for them to vote for the man who made them laugh.
I doubt Mehmet Oz understands just how outclassed he is and he may never figure it out, even after he loses.

You folks in PA are so darned lucky to have such an exemplary candidate and Lt. Gov. as John Fetterman. This man is anything BUT a typical pol and will do his best for Pennsylvanians when he is elected to the Senate. I wish we had someone this good in MT. Tester isn’t horrible like daines is but he’s no Fetterman.
That oz person will do his best, I’m sure, to act like former guy and line his own pockets as much as possible. One can see this from his “professional” life hawking snake oil treatments, etc. on that television crap he has. Gives t.v. a bad name and that’s not easy.
Yes spike a leopard can’t change his spots as they say. He already enjoyed a reputation as a huckster, snake oil and all. What would give rep,s the notion that he would also be a great “swamp drainer” just cause the Donald likes him? He still likes him doesn’t he? What day is today? Is it throwing under the bus day again? As to Mr Tester whom ever he may be, a leader can only ever be as great as the people he or she leads? But let’s say for the point of argument that it’s a three legged donkey with a nasty attitude wouldn’t it still be preferable to the reality star, TV huckster. Take heart Dems this one because of Trumps unmitigated delusions of grandeur is sooooooo up for grabs! If the Dem voters especially the most important non voting ones just get out and support their candidate the Rep Senate can be dealt a nasty slap, and an unexpected one! Dig a little deeper in Oz’s application to run in PA and you will find that the address he gave is his parents-in-law’s business in a strip mall. Why isn’t that disqualifying??!
