Seriously, folks, this was one of my top two picks, and I finally went with this one. Trump has been busted over a National Guard deployment, and it’s about damn time. We’ve all known for months that Trump was deploying various National Guard units illegally. We know he was trying to incite violence with them there in a city, and damn near everyone knew he wanted to call martial law. It didn’t work, and now he has egg (no ketchup) on his face. Too bad, so sad, NOT. With much appreciation from Raw Story:
President Donald Trump was caught in yet another “lie” on Wednesday after he suffered a major setback in court. On Tuesday, a court ruled that Trump did not establish the necessary conditions to federalize the California National Guard and ordered him to return control to Gov. Gavin Newsom. That ruling followed another defeat at the Supreme Court, which cast significant doubt about the legal theory Trump’s lawyers offered to justify the troop deployments across the country.
We can flat-out call that a FAIL. It certainly wasn’t a win. It’s surprising to find out about SCOTUS’s decision. The majority is so far in his pocket they can’t see daylight, but thank heavens, not all of them are. At least there’s some sanity, no matter how outnumbered they may be. They blocked his efforts to deploy the Guard into American cities, but may have opened the possibility of him using something else. But for now, all we need to know is that the Supreme Court just slapped Trump down, and that is nothing to sneeze at. (As a matter of fact, write it down on your calendars because who knows if it will ever happen again!)
Trump responded to the rulings in a Truth Social post on Wednesday, saying that his administration was “withdrawing” the troops, suggesting it was voluntary. He also said the troops may return at a future date if crime rates begin to creep up. “We will come back, perhaps in a much different and stronger form, when crime begins to soar again – Only a question of time!” Trump wrote in the post. “It is hard to believe that these Democrat Mayors and Governors, all of whom are greatly incompetent, would want us to leave, especially considering the great progress that has been made???”
Progress? *snort* There was no progress because nothing needed to be done! In LA, they were actually helping with picking up trash in the parks because there was literally *nothing* for them to do and no reason to be there! Trump is just absolutely frothing about wanting to declare martial law. Fortunately, we, including Guard members, know better than to let something happen that would actually create a need for it. Perhaps he thinks we’re all stupid because he is stupid and assumes we don’t know better. But, good for us, because we know his games. And now for the fun part!

We always have to save the best for last. Now, we know Trump did all sorts of idiotic, nasty ranting about people leading into the New Year. Fine by us. Even MAGA is starting to learn (finally) that he’s losing it and he’s nuts. We already know. But these losses don’t mean we can let our guard (no pun intended) down. He’s sure to come up with something else to try and use. So we celebrate the small wins when we can, and keep watching him to see what we need to fight against. We will not let him win – and Happy New Year!

Your “… Trump has been busted over …” essentially any one of a number of unlawful and illegal indiscretions. Let’s all wait to see what’s next regarding what ‘cunning stunt’ will endeavour do and get away with, in his gross and pathetic attempts to retain any relevance; in reality, he’s delusional, and all he is doing is stoking his own pyre and fanning a bonfire of self-inflected irrelevancy! At every chance given, lampoon and take-the-piss out of this irrelevant and ‘cupid stunt’
