“The Trump administration wants Americans to feel safe traveling to El Salvador, even as the Salvadoran regime imprisons hundreds of immigrants who were hastily flown there from the U.S. in chains.” Excuse me? Are you NUTS??? Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele is coming to visit. He has been denounced for human rights abuses. He describes himself as a dictator. No wonder Agent Orange wants him to visit. Maybe he can provide some insights on how it’s done. Our country is sliding towards authoritarianism as it is!
I cannot believe the State Department has moved El Salvador down to a level 1. How??!! Who knows, maybe they owe Bukele something. But a country to visit run by a dictator who has been called out because he ignores human rights? OH HELL NO. The Cheez Whiz Traitor Tot can go, although I’m not sure he or any US visitor would make it back! What are they THINKING??!! Oh, wait. tRump doesn’t think. Hey, if he goes over, maybe he can bring Garcia back since his DOJ doesn’t want to. But I already ranted about that today. Ha.
Seriously, though, this is frightening. I would figure I might disappear with a leader like that for a country. There is *no way* I would visit there. I hope everyone else would say hell NO, too. But here, have a quote: President Donald Trump’s administration on Tuesday elevated El Salvador’s travel safety designation to the best possible, putting it above countries in Western Europe, before President Nayib Bukele’s visit to the White House next week. ‘Exercise normal precautions in El Salvador,’ the State Department said in its updated travel advisory. ‘Gang activity has decreased over the last three years. This has caused a drop in violent crimes and murders.’ Nope, still hell no. Absolutely not.
This is the place that has that wretched prison CECOT, where the prisoners have no rights whatsoever. They have to sleep standing up. They don’t get enough food. They’re treated like cattle. Puppy Killer Kristi Noem went and did and did a photo op and a commercial to use to threaten people who break the law. Did you see what she was wearing? I’ll just mention the tight top because I ranted about that in the past and don’t want to do it again. All these people in a single cell, and she films a commercial in front of them! Other pictures have come out from that place that show how poorly they’re treated. I know they are (supposedly) the worst of the worst prisoners, but really? I wouldn’t last a day in there.
Back to my regularly scheduled column. *Ahem*. Here, have another *interesting* quote. The upgrade to Level 1 puts El Salvador ahead of some more traditional travel destinations for Americans like France, the UK, and Italy. They’re all at Level 2, a recommendation to ‘Exercise Increased Caution,’ because of threats from terrorists. Some other nations in Central America, including Panama and Costa Rica, are Level 2, with neighboring Guatemala Level 3, which carries a recommendation to ‘Reconsider Travel.’ Whaaaaaaat? I’ve *been* to the UK and they are lovely people. As a matter of fact, we were thinking about moving there (except for having elderly parents, so not doing it). I would not be concerned in France, either. Heh. One of the things that Agent Orange wants to do is take ownership of the Panama Canal, remember? Panama is at a level 2, and they are next door to Guatemala (they have great coffee that is imported here), which is at a level 3. Good gods.
I know this is getting kinda long, so in closing, I’m going to share 2 more quotes from this article. These are disturbing. “In February, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Bukele had offered to jail U.S. citizens in El Salvador, a move that Rubio admitted was likely to hit some legal hurdles — you know, because it’s blatantly illegal to expatriate U.S. citizens to foreign prisons. When was asked about the idea again last Sunday, El Presidente Imbécil responded, “I love that.” tRump added that he’d be “honored” to send incarcerated Americans to El Salvador, before noting, “I don’t know what the law says on that.” Oooofffffff. And YIKES.

This upgrade of travel status has come at the perfect time for Spring and Summer travel. Trump, his VP, Cabinet, Advisors and all Committee Chairs in both houses of Congress need to go there to check out the safety, beauty, and any other promising reasons for travel. Include Jared Kushner so he can check out availability of beach front real estate just ripe for development. Include his favorites on the Supreme Court; they’ll need to know real facts and we know they enjoy free vacations. Then, because it a foreign country, somehow they won’t be able to be returned to the U.S.
