Oh, now, this should be fun! He’s already done some town halls across the country, mostly with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and they got quite the crowds because he/they were willing to listen to *anyone*. It didn’t matter what your affiliation is/was, they would listen. It certainly left some Republicans in the dust, with most of them being afraid to go out and talk to their constituents (but not all of them). Some Democrats went out, too, and got it just as hard as the Republicans did. I watched what clips I could find of those, and OOF, people were (and are, I would expect) unhappy!
One of the things I’ve always loved about Bernie, AOC (and Jasmine Crockett) is that they tell it like it is and don’t hold back. That’s one helluva thing these days. They will speak their minds, which hasn’t necessarily made them any friends, but you will know exactly what they are thinking. There aren’t many members of Congress who will do that. You see, MAGA Republicans can out “shout” just about anyone these days. But as we have seen, and will see, there are people who won’t back down. They are in Congress *for their constituents*. Isn’t that marvelous? I wrote a piece about Jasmine yesterday because something happened that made me giggle, and because I can’t stand the person who was on the other side of it. There is hope!
We have midterms coming up. I know a Georgia Democrat is already doing commercials and fundraising. Good for him! He’s getting out there *early*, and is making himself known. He’s already started what needs to be done. Although he is not my rep, we’ve donated to him because many small donations can build up quite the amount, so small ones are nothing to sneeze at. We support him. He’s going to have a tough road ahead, but he *is* the incumbent, so he has, I think, a bit of an advantage. Remember, Georgia is a red state again (because the votes all went to Trumpty this time). I firmly believe he can do it again. And I hope he has town halls so his people can actually speak with him. That’s a bonus, and very positive!
But I was talking about Bernie. Yes, sometimes he’s annoying, but isn’t everyone? I should check and see if he did a town hall in Vermont. I would have expected that to be his first place to start. I was happily impressed when I saw pictures of the crowds he was getting, and then for Alexandria to join him? Aw, YEA. Here, let me give you some quotes. From CNN: Sanders, a progressive who caucuses with Democrats, has been on the road to multiple cities in recent weeks as a part of his cross-country “Fighting Oligarchy” tour, alongside Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. The senator has attempted to find a path forward as many Americans call for a stronger strategy from the Democratic Party to counter President Donald Trump. Sanders has held in-person events and townhalls in different GOP-held Congressional districts and has hosted a cross-country “Fighting Oligarchy” tour. That’s something to be proud of. He’s trying to find a path forward? Let’s do it!
Unfortunately, this is on pay CNN and pay TV, so I won’t be able to see it. I’m hoping that at some point it will be accessible for others to see. It’s going to be a barn-burner because Bernie is another one of those “tell it like it is” people. And he’ll *listen*, too! I heart Bernie Sanders. He doesn’t give up. Neither do AOC and Jasmine. Thanks to all three of them!
*****And now, please read a very special request from our awesome boss******
Zoomers, we feel guilty asking for cash, but if you can spare a small amount, it will keep us trekking through cyberspace. Many hands make light work, many small contributions add up to enough. And most of all, we thank you for coming here to read. Ursula

The multimillionaire socialist charges a speaking fee?? Why that filthy capitalist!
hahahahaha
Haven’t heard from you in a while. FYI, the “C” in CNN stands for CABLE which means if you don’t have cable you can’t watch it, at least live. Maybe tomorrow or down the road on YouTube. For folks who are retired and/or are on limited, fixed incomes even pretty basic cable packages are an expense that’s a bit too much. Hell, I’ve had to cut back my own package quite a bit. It’s annoying to have a bunch of shit channels included that you (and any normal person including you Mark) think are shit and don’t want to have to pay for. For that reason alone plenty of people who can afford a pretty good cable package say fuckit and cut the cord. With Digital broadcasting now the norm most people, even in the country can get a quality TV signal for broadcast channels and have a decent set of options. Alas, that means giving up things like CNN or ESPN (which I stopped watching so long ago I can’t remember the last time) or for us political junkies CSPAN. Or MSNBC or Fox News Channel. (yes, some of us libs watch it sometimes to see what conservatives see, just as you and others come to sites like this to see what us liberals are saying. Frankly more people should make a point of checking out the “other side!”) My point is that Sanders isn’t doing a ‘pay per view’ event and garnering a speaking fee. He’s just doing an event that’s being televised by a CABLE network and if one doesn’t have a cable or satellite TV package that means they can’t watch unless they shell out the bucks for one or the other. Capiche?
And yet, you’d probably praise Drumpf if HE decided to host a “pay-per-view” speaking engagement and I’m betting he’s a freaking sucker if he hasn’t already thought of doing that. He’s fleeced his rubes so much already but I’m sure they’d still find some way of ponying up the $45.47 PPV event, just to see “Glorious Leader” spewing yet more of his “wisdom.”
