*Not including the Signalgate case. So, while that’s going on, there’ve been some interesting developments in the judge’s case for the use of the Alien Enemies Act deportations as well as peripheral actions. I’m sure we all know tRump thinks he should be impeached, and Judge Roberts slapped him down for it. But the government lawyers STILL aren’t giving him the information he has asked for repeatedly. This time it’s under “state secrets”. I wonder if they’re dodging it because they know they broke his order to not send migrants to El Salvador. And I seem to remember they had to provide some sort of proof about the state secrets, but I can’t place it at the moment. Either way, he is unhappy about being yanked around and the huge lack of respect. If this group thinks they can obfuscate to prevent supplying the information that he asked for in no uncertain terms, “show me”, then they could try to do it with other court cases in progress for the Mango Mandarin’s administration going on right now, as well. They “only” have 132 against them to deal with. I think the lack of respect they are showing him is pretty bad, and I’m impressed with how he has kept his composure. *That* is someone whose allegiance is to the Constitution and the LAW. How many judges don’t have that (looking at you, Aileen Cannon)??

From AP: Boasberg, an Obama nominee, ruled that immigrants facing deportation must get an opportunity to challenge their designations as alleged gang members. He said there is “a strong public interest in preventing the mistaken deportation of people based on categories they have no right to challenge. The public also has a significant stake in the Government’s compliance with the law,” the judge wrote. Trump and his allies have called for impeaching Boasberg. In a rare statement, Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts said, “Impeachment is not an appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision.” Just after midnight Monday, Agent Orange posted a social media message questioning Boasberg’s impartiality and calling for him to be disbarred. During a hearing Friday, Boasberg vowed to determine whether the government defied his oral order from the bench to turn planes around. The Justice Department has said that the judge’s oral directions did not count, that only his written order needed to be followed, and that it couldn’t apply to flights that had already left the U.S. So, there we have the first part.

Now for something completely petty. Someone(s) decided to look at his and his wife’s house. Sooooo. From Newsweek: Pro-Trump commentators have launched a scathing series of attacks on Boasberg and his family. Paul Perry, a senior reporter at conservative website, Real Clear Investigations, wrote on X, formerly Twitter, on March 20: “On a $247,000 federal salary, property records show Judge Boasberg lives in a $2.4 million house in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in D.C.” Elon Musk, the head of Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency, shared the post on X with the comment: “Interesting.” Lois Romano, an author and former editor at Washington Post Live, strongly contested Perry’s claim on X, writing: “You cannot be serious, Paul Perry. 1. That’s NOT one of the most prestigious neighborhoods. 2. He purchased the house 30 years ago when he was in private practice, and his wife was a Stanford MBA consultant. 3. They paid $500K for it. 4. You’ve embarrassed yourself with your ignorance.” Trump supporters also kept Boasberg’s family under scrutiny during the week. This makes my eyes roll to the back of my head. But wait, there’s more! White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt told reporters on March 19: “This judge, Judge Boasberg, is a Democrat activist. He was appointed by Barack Obama.” Leavitt then said Boasberg’s wife, Elizabeth Manson, had donated more than $10,000 to Democrats. She added that Boasberg has “consistently shown his disdain for this president and his policies, and it’s unacceptable.” It goes on and on in that same vein. This leads me back into “what are they hiding??” But anyhow.

So here we have the court case and the petty. Are they getting afraid of him that they have to resort to such low comments? I’m not sure we will ever have an actual answer to that. I, personally, am guessing that they are. They know they f*cked up and don’t want him to know, but with all the dodging they’re been doing, they’ve as good as told him so. And now he has been assigned the Signalgate case. Hello, Karma!

*****And now, please read a very special request from our awesome boss******

Zoomers, if you can hunt through the sofa cushions for spare change, we could use it. We are in month five of depressed traffic while a depressed nation tunes out. I have every belief that the disenchanted will tune back in and some point and return to the fight, but until that happens, the bills keep coming, and we need help. Thank you. Ursula

    • Oh, yes, I did too! Did you notice the cable going to the leg manacles? I hadn’t noticed that either, til I saw that too. Sheesh! Overkill, anyone? That looks so demeaning…..

    • Of course, the rationale that would be given would be “to protect the guards and their families from retribution from criminal gang members.” (While conveniently forgetting the guards and their families are probably already well-known to those self-same criminal gang members.)

  1. Dear Dementia Donnue,
You have pissed off Roberts seriously. Youbdon’t get to.impeach a federal judge by executive decree. No. If you don’t like the decision, you can appeal. But you have well and truly annoyed Rovweta,,and ut onky requires one more justice to rule against LU h, maybe foe rhe next 4 years. SCOTUS doesn’t like being ordered around.
