Remember way back near the beginning of his term when tRump signed an Executive Order to ban transgender people from the military? Transgender people sued and the ban has been BLOCKED. Indefinitely! I am sitting here giggling with glee! First and foremost they are *people*. They are people who happen to be transgender. And if they choose to enter the military there’s no reason they will do better or worse than other people and they will not disrupt military lethality, readiness, and cohesion.

In a scathing ruling, US District Judge Ana Reyes said the administration cannot enforce the ban — which was set to take effect later this month. Reyes, an appointee of former President Joe Biden, wrote that the ban “is soaked in animus and dripping with pretext. Its language is unabashedly demeaning, its policy stigmatizes transgender persons as inherently unfit, and its conclusions bear no relation to fact.” How about that?!
They have just as many rights as anyone. I think going into the military is a brave step and then you have so, so much to go through in training of all kinds. I’m 99% sure I could not do it. “Indeed, the cruel irony is that thousands of transgender servicemembers have sacrificed – some risking their lives – to ensure for others the very equal protection rights the Military Ban seeks to deny them,” she wrote.
I don’t know why the Confused Carrot has such an irrational feeling about trans people in the military, let alone the ones who work and sleep and pay bills and go to movies, just like me. I thought I was getting old-fashioned and stubborn, but definitely NOT for something like this! The judge said the transgender people would likely succeed in the case, having shown that the ban likely affected their rights under the Constitution.
So let’s hear a YAY for a judge pushing back against Agent Orange and his people. They are not going to like it. And I expect another rage on Truth Social post about this. Heh. Don’t think the judiciary will roll over and play dead for you tRump.
