Trumpty is at it again! Here is a frivolous lawsuit because he got his feelings hurt. He had the Donald J Trump Revocable Trust and Eric Trump sue Capitol One for closing his bank accounts in 2021. (Hello, January 6.) Let me pause here while I try to stop my eyes rolling. Yea, that bad.

The bank is accused of violating Florida and other state consumer laws and the organization is seeking damages. DUDE. You were given 2 months’ warning on it. But “your business was harmed” when you had to close those “hundreds” of bank accounts holding “millions” of dollars. Hundreds? Sure, uh huh. Oh, and they added in another tidbit – that consumers were losing in the banking system because of differences in political views. Get real.

But wait! It gets better! “Plaintiffs have reason to believe that Capital One’s unilateral decision came about as a result of political and social motivations and Capital One’s unsubstantiated, ‘woke’ beliefs that it needed to distance itself from President Trump and his conservative political views,” according to the lawsuit. “Capital One’s conduct is but one example of a systemic, subversive industry practice that aims to coerce the public to shift and re-align their political views,” the lawsuit alleges. Really? A bank is “woke”? Good grief!

Other banks stopped doing business with him, too, after the events of January 6. That’s not surprising. Are they “woke”? I swear there are people digging for the weirdest words to corrupt to describe something. To me, woke is as in “woke up”, not to describe the literal positive and negative practices of something. (Thank you, Ron DeSatan.) There’s such a hoorah going on about that and DEI.

But! Back to this frivolous lawsuit … well, *I* consider it frivolous. The account closure came when the Trump Organization and the Trump family were facing civil *and* criminal investigation over its finances. Well, we know how that one worked out. They lost. Two Trump Organizations were indicted on tax fraud charges and found guilty at trial. Soooo they have that on them and now they’re suing a huge bank. I’ll bet they have better lawyers than he does. And any smart lawyer will stay far, far away from this because tRump doesn’t pay his lawyers.

Last but not least, or Also: Two Trump Organization entities were indicted on tax fraud charges that July and found guilty at trial. The following year, the attorney general’s office sued the Trumps and their business for engaging in a decade-long fraud. A New York state judge found the Trumps liable for fraud for inflating the value of certain assets to obtain loans and issued a $454 million judgment, which is on appeal. Of course. Agent Orange has been lucky enough to weasel his way out of 2 MAJOR Federal lawsuits when he became the President-elect, dammit. Jack Smith said they have enough information for a *conviction* on the riot. A *conviction*. Damn.

So here we have yet another Mango Mandarin advised petty lawsuit. Please, Capitol One, don’t back down. He’s settled out of court with some media lawsuits. Don’t settle for anything. Make them pay. Oh, in the pay for their stupidity type of pay … well, kinda. This one is a bit odd. What do *you* think?

*****And now, please read a very special request from our awesome boss******

Friends, if you can afford a donation or subscription, it would be appreciated. The traffic will eventually come back, but we know not when and the bills keep coming in. Plus, all the writers need to eat, and pay for the WiFi and other inconveniences. Thank you. Ursula

  1. Oh, Lordy, Sphincter Face and his Little Sphincters [why do all their mouths look like cats talking out of their butts?] are so right. How can this country survive if a company that owes its shareholders and the FDIC and lots of other regulators answers for why it continues to do business with a company as shady as Sphincter, Inc.?!
On its face, any business that opens hundreds of accounts for its millions in assets smells like yesterday’s diapers! At the very least it deserves a ton more scrutiny than most other customers. And, if Capital One wants to protect itself from difficulties by cutting a customer loose, it was a decision that was put to a board of directors that yelled you betcha and got out the big scissors!
I cannot believe that little old me is stepping up to say, “Capital One Strong!” 😳

    • Yea that “hundreds” of accounts really got me. Seems like money washing to me. I’m just hoping that they don’t bow down like the media did…..

  2. Silly me. I thought banks were private businesses and thus have the right to decide who constitutes a customer for their services. Perhaps they just didn’t want to face boycotts by non-Trumpies?
