He’s taking care of business, just doing what he says the people said they wanted of him.
That’s not all good things, as it seems. We had great relationships with Canada and Mexico. Now he wants to take over Canada and he’s putting tariffs in place that don’t need to be there. He offered them a stay until March 1, but he’s put the damn tariffs in place. They might not be as far-reaching as the originals, but still. He did what he was threatening anyhow, to two of our good friends.
Now we have the whole Gaza insanity. And we won’t send help to Ukraine unless we get the rare earths and minerals in response. How about forcing Jordan and Egypt to be ready to take in people from Gaza in return for aid? He’s making Russia happy, though. We might not think it’s a good thing but seems he does.
We have worse problems at home. E-yawn is ripping apart the government with no thought for what things might do. He is only looking at the numbers (and things that can help his companies). He has a band of boy toys getting put into positions they ought not be and seeing things they ought not see. JD Vance has said “Judges aren’t allowed to control the executive’s legitimate power” except it *is* their power. Muskrat said to impeach him. Both of these were for a single judge but it can and will lead to bigger problems. There are 3 independent Articles – Congress, Executive, and Law. They are separate for a good reason. There are checks and balances in place for a good reason.
There are a ridiculous number of lawsuits in progress because tRump overstepped his bounds, and Muskrat is doing the unconstitutional things. Plus, don’t forget about the things his boy band is doing – that counts, too. The rule of law is there for a reason and cannot be overridden at someone’s whim. It’s there to handle any and all situations if need be. I *really* don’t want to go back so many years in time that the rule of law was who had a bigger gun and who was a better shot.
There are also rules in place for what Congress handles, and those don’t belong to the president. There are quite a few things that they should be doing, or haven’t done yet but need to be brought to their attention. Unfortunately, the GOP margin in Congress has turned into lap dogs waiting for a treat from the president. It ought not to work that way! They are their own section and should be looking at what THEY do, not what the executive branch does. And actually, there are some lawsuits involving that, as well.
So how in the hell do we stop this bullsh*t? I don’t have an answer right now. Do you?
