He wants the position. We don’t need him in the position. He’s not good enough to be in the position. It would be a near catastrophe to have him in the position. The country shouldn’t have him in the position. Excessive drinking. Blackmail that wasn’t named that at the time. Sexual assault. Rejecting Women in Combat. NO to Pete Hegseth! It looks like he might make it into the position of Secretary of Defense and WE. DO. NOT. NEED. THAT. Will enough GOP-ers defect and refuse to pass him in? Oh mercy, we hope? Get that FBI report!!!!!! Don’t let it be blocked!
He’s denied drinking on the job and says they’re just allegations. Except if someone could SMELL liquor on him, which is not exactly easy, it’s pretty sure that he was. He was the same for Fox News and for the non-profit veteran organization, he led (and left under allegations of funds mismanagement). And if I remember correctly, people have *seen* him drinking. He swears he’s clean. But he wouldn’t answer whether or not he would resign if he started drinking again. That’s … interesting.
Then there’s the sexual assault on a woman in 2017. He insists it didn’t happen and it’s just a part of left-wing media trying to smear him. Dude. Someone doesn’t just file sexual assault against you for gits and shiggles. That’s something pretty serious. He thinks the allegations were an attempt to smear tRump through him. What? That’s not even creative. You coulda done better, dude. Then, the encounter was consensual. Again, why *did* she file a sexual assault report? Then later he paid her off to keep it quiet. You’re a man in public view, nominated for a VERY important position, and you don’t think it would come out? Just shows how susceptible you are to blackmail. If I remember correctly, you didn’t have to pay her off. But you were afraid of it coming out, so you did. It came out anyhow.
There’s more. Definitely more. ***.This column was written before the news on his interviews with the Senate came out.*** Seems like things are even worse than I’ve listed, as he refused to answer a number of questions during his interview yesterday. Questions about the issues I mentioned above. And I just discovered there are some places where he has no experience that’s needed for the position of secretary of defense. Why on earth did the Mango Mandarin choose someone like this for such an important position? Just to stir up his fan club? To direct attention to somewhere else while he prepares to be dictator for a day? To stir up trouble, since he’s so good at that? Who knows. The Orangutan does not exactly have a long attention span.
