It’s well known that Melania Trump is hyper vigilant when it comes to bad publicity. She got a big settlement back in the day from the Daily Mail who described her as an “escort.” She’s also gone out of her way recently to encourage James Carville and the Daily Beast to amend their statements about Melania with respect to Jeffrey Epstein, with cease and desist letters. This is very curious. As the famous photo above clearly indicates, they all knew one another; Donald, Melania, Jeffrey and Ghislaine. The photo’s legitimacy has not been challenged and it is a real photograph, done by Davidoff Studios/Gerry Images. So what in the world is her issue? Because clearly she’s got one.
As Ben Meiselas notes, Melania did not have a press conference to describe details of her immigration process. So why was that? If her process was pristine and according to the book, would she not have come out and proudly displayed that fact? It’s reasonable to think so.
I particularly found it amusing when she refers to Trump and Access Hollywood host Billy Bush as “two teenaged boys” when her husband was 59 at the time. Maybe that’s how she gaslights herself, that boys will be boys and even if a man is almost 60, he should be forgiven for acting like he’s 13. Dunno. That one beats me.
A number of features of Melania’s biography have been portrayed one way and then portrayed another. For example, she was portrayed as having won a beauty contest that she actually placed second in. And she has been portrayed as speaking five or six foreign languages. That old saw has been kicking around for many years now, without any concrete evidence being offered. It’s not like the days when Jackie Kennedy dazzled the French, Italians and Spanish by speaking those languages fluently when she was in those countries.
And it really doesn’t matter. It’s clearly puffery. But why go out of her way to distance herself from Jeffrey Epstein to the degree that she is unless she knows that when that particular well is tapped, that it’s going to blow sky high? That’s the only plausible explanation for her actions.
We know that:
- She and Trump knew Epstein and Maxwell and socialized with them — at least to the extent of being photographed together. That’s undisputed;
- She met Trump in the same circles that Epstein ran in. Both Jeffrey Epstein and Paolo Zampoli ran in the modeling and high society circles of New York City;
- Zampoli, the modeling agency head who brought Melania to New York in 1996, served on the board of Ghislaine Maxwell’s TerraMar Project in 2013. The TerraMar Project was a non profit environmental organization. Maxwell was said to have run in the circles of “high fashion, politics, and wealth.”
Evidently Melania finds it important to split hairs here, as to how she came to meet Donald Trump, whether it was strictly through Zampoli or whether it was through Zampoli and/or Jeffrey Epstein. Her lawyers sent a cease and desist letter to the Daily Beast demanding a retraction of a story that depicted Epstein as key in introducing the pair.
But the fact remains that Zampoli, Epstein, and Maxwell all ran in the same social circles, that included Trump, and so where does the influence of one suddenly become compartmentalized and have nothing whatsoever to do with the influence of any of the others?
Again, seems like hair splitting. So the question then becomes why, and the only reason I can think of is that Melania knows only too well that the Epstein files contain explosive material. And she’s seeking proactively to distance herself from it when the inevitable explosion comes.
And also don’t forget, on Thursday the newest tell-all about Prince Andrew drops and that may contain a lot of dirt that perhaps neither Trump nor Melania would like to see in print. We’ll soon know. Only one thing is certain: the Epstein mess is not going away.
Divide, control, conquer based upon her own suspicious and suppressive strategy. Then drip feed with a flood of fictitious adulterated fodder. It’ll eventually back fire, as it cannot be legitimately secured and sustained.
