Whoopi And The View Opened A Can Of ‘Whoop A$$’ On Trump

Donald Trump hates women. He especially hates (because he fears them) smart, STRONG black women. Whoopi Goldberg like most comedians is wicked smart and informed on all manner of topics. She can think circles around Trump. And let’s face it – when you think of “strong black woman’ Whoopi Goldberg would be on anyone’s short list. Trump got triggered by Kamala Harris’ appearance on The View so Trump decided to trash it. And got specific about trashing Goldberg in particular along with co-host Sunny Hostin. Bad move Trumpty-Dumpty. These aren’t women easily intimidated and certainly not by the likes of YOU. So The View had a segment that pretty much did a Gallagher on Trump’s ‘family jewels – laid them on the table and started smashing with a giant rhetorical mallet.  You can watch the nine minute segment for yourself. Personally I think it’s worth the time:

Trump talked about having hired Goldberg once upon a time and found her act so “filthy” that he and others walked out. Really? Trump no doubt LOVED her act. But being Trump he made up a bunch of lies. I guess his brain was so triggered he forgot to add a part about ‘big strong men with tears in their eyes because their fee-fees were sooooooo offended at the dirty words/talk!‘  Well, as you might expect Goldberg didn’t back down an inch according to People Magazine:

Goldberg, for her part, didn’t debate using blue language. “As it turns out, I was filthy. I was filthy, and stand on that fact,” she said. “I have always been filthy. And you knew that when you hired me [to be] a headline[r], babe, at your casino — which I might have continued to play had you not run it into the ground!”

Goldberg added “You know how dirty I wasn’t? I never grabbed anybody by their genitalia,” Ouch. That will leave a mark on Trumpty.  However Goldberg wasn’t done with Trump and addressed the lie about him never hiring her again:

Though she admitted to having profanity in her sets, Goldberg did push back on Trump’s claim that he would never hire her again.

“How dumb are you? You hired me four times,” Goldberg said, insisting doubters check with her agents at William Morris to fact check her. “You hired me four times! And you didn’t know what you were getting? How dumb are you?”

Things then turned to Sunny Hostin with Trump calling HER dumb for a question she’d asked Harris – the one about whether over the past three years she (Harris) would have done anything different than Biden. Trump, being Trump said of that:

“The other one asking the question is dumber than Kamala,” Trump said. “She’s a dummy. I watched her over the years, that is one dumb woman.”

Oh Donald, is the fact Hostin had an outstanding career working at DOJ something that triggers you? Well, Hostin got her own chance to take that big Gallagher Mallet to Trump:

“Donald Trump, I want to thank you for personally telling so many lies and committing so many alleged crimes and providing us with material on a daily basis,” said Hostin, a former federal prosecutor. “You help us do our jobs and I’m so appreciative. Because of people like you, a former prosecutor and legal expert can become a fixture on a show like this and again, I’m so grateful.”

“I admit I may not have spent as much time in a courtroom as you have,” the lawyer continued. “I was also recognized with a special achievement award by the Department of Justice. You remember the Department of Justice, right? It’s the agency that’s been pursuing you for decades. And like Madame VP Kamala Harris, I’ve had a history of prosecuting sex offenders, so thank you for keeping people like us in business.”

The contrast in her tone from Goldberg’s ‘in your face Donald’ was striking. To me it seemed, especially when she invited him to come on the show himself (a long open invitation he’s refused I should note) Hostin’s relative soft-spoken retort seemed downright condescending! You don’t think THAT will send Trump over the edge? Especially since as Goldberg pointed out in the segment it’s clear Trump does in fact watch that show!  Of course Trump didn’t realize SecDef Mattis’ resignation letter was a massive send-up and withering criticism until someone explained it to him. And that was then. He’s clearly devolved so he might not get it if no one explains Hostin was MOCKING him.

Not to worry. She stuck the knife in DEEP and twisted before breaking off the blade and handing him the handle:

“As for dumb questions, you’re always welcome to come here and answer some, if sitting so close to a prosecutor won’t make you feverous,” Hostin said of Trump, who did call into the show when he was running for president in 2016. “I’ll even give you a View mug, not to be confused though with a mugshot, because that’s your area.”

That’s a direct challenge even an addle-brained Trump will recognize. Since he doesn’t have the guts to take The View up on the offer, much less sit next to Hostin who can be a LOT more blunt than Harris could be during the debate Trump will be filled with self-loathing. Anyone want to bet his rally crowds from here on will have to listen through fifteen minutes of rambling word salad about the ladies on The View?  One can only hope that a decent percentage (it would be small but every bit helps) will say to themselves ‘Why is he talking about THAT sh*t? I need to know what he’s going to actually DO to make MY life easier.’

Well, I for one think this isn’t over. Trump’s advisors might beg him to let it go but he won’t.  Keep an eye out because I think there will be plenty more of this.
