Don’t mess with Texas is a phrase that Marjorie Taylor Greene perhaps now knows the meaning of. She endorsed candidates in Republican primaries and they all fell resoundingly on their asses.
Texas districts, 28, 30 and 35 all went well for progressives. Maybe Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is right when she says that “it’s only a matter of time” before Texas turns blue. What I know is that Texas turning blue is the perennial Democratic wet dream. Not saying it can’t or won’t happen, just saying it’s like Lucy with the football. I’ve learned to stop believing that she’ll actually let Charlie Brown kick it one day.
Here’s the details on how Marge Greene is the kiss of death:
In the congressional races, it was gratifying to see that wherever Marjorie Traitor Greene and her neo-Nazi allies jumped into a race, their candidates failed in GOP primaries. Her prime endorsee, psychopath Christian Collins in the open 8th district only managed 21.8% of the vote and the less insane candidate, conservative Morgan Luttrell 53.6%) who Traitor Greene ran around screaming is a RINO, appears to have won outright with no runoff. Same in the TX-02, where Traitor Greene’s arch enemy, Dan Crenshaw killed a pack of Traitor Greene candidates with a whopping 76% of the vote. Traitor Greene sealed her reputation as the kiss-of-death endorser: get an endorsement from Marjorie Traitor Greene and lose… badly.
Yesterday, Mike Pence’s former assistant, Olivia Troye, tweeted out that Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert were “extremist trash.” Maybe there are more people in the Republican party that think that way than Greene knows.
I can’t imagine Boebert getting reelected in Colorado. Both Greene and Boebert are performance artists and they’re a disgrace. I hope that there are enough adults in the electorate to get rid of them. They’re a cancer on the body politic, show ponies out there to get attention and make a scene, nothing more. They are both a colossal waste of taxpayer money.
This sign from Texas is a good one. I hope to see more of this. I hope voters take Greene to the woodshed in November.

Some talking head said something to the effect that all of TFG’s endorsees won in TX (which isn’t exactly right – none lost outright but some are in run-offs). But no one I’ve heard or read mentioned MTG’s endorsees. So, this is like a ray of sunshine. If her endorsees couldn’t win in TX, which over the years have given us such heavyweights (snark) as Louis Gohmert and Rick Perry, there may be hope we’ve seen the last of her.
Speaking of Gohmert, let’s remember that he just gave up a Congressional seat to lose in a primary for TX AG by 24 points.
Did he have to give up his seat in Congress to run for the primary? I kind of doubt it. Perhaps someone from TX on this site can let us know.
Earth to Margie. Earth to Margie. Earth to Marge. Come in Marge. Over. Are you there? Over.
She’s probably not answering because she’s afraid the Jewish Space Laser people will use the signal to lock in on her location and fry her.
