Get ready for a double dose of weird as the countdown to December 6 takes place. Herschel Walker is up and running — and we don’t just mean running for office, in the runoff, he’s running off at the mouth.

He’s talking a mile a minute. Maybe he’s been to visit Donald Trump, Jr. and learned how to become an animated guy. Ya spose?

In any event, he alludes to Raphael Warnock as being a vampire — or something. See if you can figure out WTH he’s talking about.

So, instead of Interview With The Vampire, we can now watch Interview With Herschel and that will illuminate us. Righto.

I think the man knows he’s behind. He knows he doesn’t have Brian Kemp on the ballot. Frankly, I think most of his GOP colleagues would prefer that he lost so that he doesn’t go on to embarrass them anymore.

The December 6 runoff will be something. It will not only put the stake through Walker’s political heart (hey, he’s the one who started this metaphor going, not me) it will put the stake through Trumpty Dumpty’s as well. Walker is another Trump-endorsed candidate. When Walker washes out, as he will, that will be one more loss in Trump’s column.

And it may be the final loss. Trump was massively stupid to announce his candidacy when he did. Now he’s made what could have been a sprint into a marathon. And he doesn’t have the juice for a marathon — or a sprint.

Let’s see what we’re talking about the end of the first week in December. I predict an end to Herschel Walker and Trump finally coming to the realization that he was stupid to announce so early. And he’ll be looking around for somebody to blame for that, make no mistake.

  1. I am insulted and angry that the GOP would foist such an unqualified, ignorant and damaged candidate on their constituents. If I were a Georgian, I’d be even more pissed that they have such a low regard for us that they care more about power than actually electing someone who will govern with intelligence. How can R voters not see the disdain the party has for them?

    • The problem can be summed up in threeletters:,NFL.
I spent twelve years in the intellectual desert that is GA. The schools suck. Evangelical Christians run the state. And to the average blue collar redneck, the fact that he played football for UGA and the NFL is reason enough to vote for him. Toss in racism, with his opponent being a Black preacher at MLK’s church (insult to.injury), and he looks even better.
You underestimate the stupidity, racism, and anger of the GA voter at your peril. Every damned PoC and white Democrats had better turn out.
