I wonder if stupidity is a terminal illness? Think about it. It’s Darwin’s Law, that if you’re especially stupid you won’t live long at all. Then there is MAGA. MAGA is a particular kind of stupidity, where the members of the cult choose to believe whatever their charismatic leader tells them, even when those *facts* are easily disproven. (See: Revolutionary War Airports.) Donald Trump has one skill and unfortunately that one skill alone has elevated him to our nation’s highest office, twice now. That skill is television. Trump understands television and those who watch it diligently like he does. And that is a lot of America. For Trump and MAGA television is the glass teat upon which they suck their information, entertainment, hopes, joys, and fears. All in living color and now 80″ screens.
The fellow you’re about to see has not only ingested Trump’s vitriol, he has extended it to a “vision” that he had. A vision all his own. The math is a little odd, but he’ll explain it to you. And oh yes, it involves a Trump dynasty. While the rest of us are wretching at the thought, this guy took silkscreen in hand and wears his vision like a badge of honor.
Technically the maga is right on this one. The column if numbers on the left is the starting year of their first term. The column on the right is the starting year of their second term pic.twitter.com/djAPeLYaEi

Well, the prophetic vision is already off. We’re supposed to have eight years of Ivanka ahead of us. Dear God. And this prophet has clearly forgotten Lara Trump’s ambitions. No Sir, she intends to become a senator, just as soon as Daddy-in-Law can swing it with Ron DeSantis and get Marco Rubio’s seat. I’m not sure what Trump is going to use for leverage in that transaction. It was thought that Trump would bump Pete Hegseth and make DeSantis the Secretary of Defense and that would impel DeSantis to play along. But clearly something went south and nobody has heard about that transaction in a week or two.
Not that it can’t happen, still, but from all appearances, Hegseth is the “hill to die on” and he and Kash Patel are going to glide into their respective offices — or else GOP senators will get primaried. Lisa Murkowski has views on that.

Donald won’t like any of that. Not one bit. Now if we just had three more like Murkowski, we might get somewhere. Don’t hold your breath on Susan Collins. She’s Lucy with the football. That said, she is up for election in 2026 and Maine is very blue these days. Joni Ernst has been intimidated, most probably into submission. I have heard tell that Josh Hawley doesn’t like Pete Hegseth but if the fate of the republic falls to Hawley, I would not expect a good outcome.
Maybe Mitch McConnell and a few of his buddies would defeat Hegseth. Ya spose? It’s not inconceivable. I wouldn’t say to make book on it, but it could come to pass. If the so-called RINOS bumped Hegseth and Patel, that would indeed be something.
Stay tuned. It’s not over until it’s over and a lot of strange things can happen between then and now.

Nah, that shirt’s predictions will never come true.
There’s NO way that Eric or Don Jr would allow Ivanka to become the first to take over from Daddy (and, of course, if those years do actually mark the election year wins, then 2020 and 2024 are already wrong; Biden won in 2020 and Daddy Chump got it this year). Don Jr is the first-born, therefore he’s going to believe himself to be the rightful “heir to the throne” (even more so the fact that Ivanka kind of kept away from all of Daddy’s trial woes so I’m betting that he and Eric believe she’s disqualified herself from the family’s line of succession).
Lisa M. will bend the knee. Hasn’t she always? McConnell will never stand up to anyone because he doesn’t have a spine. So we are in for a rough ride.
I love Jordan Klepper. I remember that Daily Show episode from 2020 and enjoyed it. Here’s a clip with the video where Klepper points out the apparent lack of re-electability as the list is full of single presidential terms.
