“Is the world going crazy?” Donald Trump asked this afternoon. Yes. That’s about the only point of agreement that most people will reach with his loony speech today as part of the America First agenda.
Trump is back in the nation’s capitol and triumphal return is not exactly how this should be characterized. “It is not recognizable what’s happened,” Trump says, describing how awful Washington, D.C. is upon his return, “Trash, garbage, paper of all kinds from all places. It’s terrible what’s happening to this great bastion.”
There was some paper. Protestors gathered to chant “No Trump! No KKK! No Fascist USA!” and they threw flyers saying “Indict Trump” to the ground.

Trump is all out for law and order, which in his definition means executing drug dealers.

He’s very upset about crime in general. “We should have concealed carry reciprocity.” “You can’t let yourself be pummeled and beaten to death to serve the left’s vision. Self defense is under attack.”

“You could put up a tent in a day.” Trump wants to move the homeless to tent cities, staff with medical and mental health professionals.

And then he went on to admonish the Democrats to “have the homeless camp in your backyards.”
And of course he wants to bring out the military to override governors who won’t call them out. He wants to move the National Guard into Chicago, among other things. “The next president needs to send the National Guard to the most dangerous neighborhoods in Chicago until safety can be successfully restored,” he said. And he supports the police even when they make “errors.”

And of course the transgenders need to have their moment in the spotlight.

And he declared that he “Ran and won and then I ran a second time and I did much better. It’s going to be a story for a long time. We may just do it again. We did it twice.”
That is the stumbling block, right there. If Trump would let go of the Big Lie, he might bring the rest of the party with him. This is the problem.
