The United States has about four serious adversaries around the globe. In order of seriousness and my opinion, it would be Russia, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and China. Russia is number one for obvious reasons, and Saudia Arabia is number two for obvious reasons; its human rights record and the increasing evidence that Saudi was far more involved in 9-11 have moved them up seriously. Iran has a very real military and has a tendency to use it to destabilize the region whenever it suits it. Last, there is China, which is a serious threat. It has a military that is the closest to ours in strength and technology, it wants Taiwan back and would likely take it without American protection, but it’s last on my list because China’s economy goes to hell if there isn’t a country to buy its shit and the United States buys more than anyone else. Real trouble means real sanctions and no more buyers.
Why does this matter? Because all four countries are now pounding the United States with propaganda after seeing it work so well with Trump and with social media making it so much easier. Propaganda is so effortless these days that it can fall into a representative’s hands and be read into the record of the U.S. Congress, simply because the Congressman and his staff didn’t check the origin of a quote, “The Global Times Investigative Report” which investigated a research lab… it wasn’t until the witness says, “is this the Global Times from China?” Gaetz immediately says, “No,” and then realizes he’s wrong.
The look of horror is worth having Gaetz in Congress for two years. Okay, not quite, but close. Representatives are going to have to source check far more meticulously. Propaganda is everywhere, and it’s much easier to insert. Indeed, they can get it in the Congressional Record.

Gaetz doesn’t source check ANYTHING. You may have read my post earlier today where Swalwell took Gaetz to task for inviting an alleged murder to Congress as his guest of honor.
I wrote that at the same time in another endeavor. It was awful.
gaetz knows how to get underage girls to sleep with him (again, the money) and that is all he knows.
I don’t think any of these people check *anything* they say, if it agrees with their current views.
For asshats like Mattie Boy and, and I mean ANY scrap of something with which to “own the libs” has GOT to be trumpeted. He literally read off the name of the source and then when challenged by a witness who more than once called that publication propaganda realized the pushback would get noticed. If he was embarrassed that’s why. He and others can’t handle it when someone pushes back, especially in a situation like that instead of in some interview on TV with some journalist more afraid of not getting future interviews lets that kind of shit slide or only barely pushes back.
To the right and the MAGA crowd, it does not matter if something is a lie as long as it supports what they want to believe. That is all. They have no shame.
A reputable source is usually someone with a lot of years of experience in a particular field and we all know Gaetz prefers people with very few years of experience.
