I never dreamt in a million years when I read “1984” in grade school that the day would dawn when knowledge of it would be key to explaining the politics of the early 21st Century. If I had, maybe I would have taken better notes.

I like the part about how it’s private between McCarthy and his reps what they talk about. What, you mean we’re supposed to elect leaders that are accountable to their voters and tell them what’s actually going on? Where did you get that crazy idea?

Fuentes and his bunch is pro-Putin. Ukraine is our ally and right now Ukraine is at war with Putin. But something that glaring is left unaddressed.
You noticed that McCarthy almost whispered, “she won’t go again,” which we assume means Greene and to another Nazi rally?
Print out that quote of Orwell’s and put it on the fridge. Something tells me you will need to refer to it again and in the not so distant future. The GOP has quite a balancing act in front of it. It’s got to convince people that it still is the old GOP at the same time staying in the good graces of the neo-Nazis and not offending the Putin propagandists. On those facts, you will be hearing more textbook examples of double think in the future.
