Trump has to convince you that we’re at war in America and that he is the only one who can save you. He’s got no platform, so he’s defaulting to fear and the culture war. That’s it. This is what it is until November 3.
So we’re describing a country where trained thugs carefully anonymised to hide their identities, but in the employment of the Federal Government, are using unmarked vehicles to snatch people off the street.
That sounds like Pinochet’s Chile, Argentina under the generals, Albania or East Germany under communism or anywhere under a despotic tyrant. Not the USA.
Except East Germany was never as bad as this, and those other places at least made some pretence at civility and not being so nakedly oppressive about it.

Those that have ordered and participated in this in any way must be charged, and jailed, with long sentences.
