It really looks like Trump has lost his mind. He’s demanding something from the FBI that is not in their job descriptions, but Kra$h Patel is a toadie, so the lower ranks are getting pushed. It actually also includes the DOJ, but we already know it’s now Trump’s attack dog. Blanche will do whatever Trump wants, so the pressure is twice as much on them, at the very least.
Sidetracked in the first paragraph is not a good way to start off (oops), and we’re going back to the FBI now. Both are supposed to get indictments for anyone who helped “steal” the election in 2020, and again, we roll our eyes. This has already been done. Multiple times. And like the senators that were in an earlier column, he won’t give it up. More than 5 years later, almost 6, Trump is still a rabid dog with attack, attack, attack, prosecute, jail. For those of us on the other side of that the election was *not* stolen, well, he wants all of us to go down, or so it seems..
The FBI doesn’t *get* indictments. They research, gather information, and go to a prosecutor with it. They don’t go in front of a judge to do anything, except when called in as an expert witness. Last we knew, the DOJ takes it from there. They are given the information, and they build a case. Therefore, they cannot procure an indictment. But Kra$h has “orders,” and the FBI should do as it’s told. Now, how about some information from, and with respect to, Raw Story:
Federal investigators are agitated as the Trump administration presses the FBI and Justice Department to produce indictments tied to President Donald Trump’s false claims that the 2020 election was stolen, according to a new report. The Atlantic interviewed more than 40 current and former officials, FBI employees, and congressional staffers, and they described FBI Director Kash Patel as desperate to deliver arrests to please the president – with many requests coming straight from the White House under instructions like “this is a push from 47.”
Good grief. Kra$h won’t push back, even though he should, since the FBI cannot get indictments. He’s also worried about keeping his job since all that material came out about all of his behavior, which is not becoming of the head of the FBI. But it’s Trump’s FBI, so Kra$h will do as he’s told, and leading the FBI is secondary, if it even matters at all. It should be interesting to see how this shakes out. Do they have the 1,000 agents who were redacting the Epstein Files back yet?
It seems that even the people loyal to His Orange-ness are walking away. This is an ugly statement: Trump is flogging a dead horse. It’s really appropriate, but jeez. It bugs me. It’s frustrating that Trump won’t let go of the fact that he lost. It’s not just the DOJ or the FBI. *We* are tired of it. It’s been discussed over and over and over. Let it rest. Please.
Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that, of all the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula
