I don’t know why the Child In Chief has such a thing going for Canada these days. He’s never been accorded anything but proper protocol and respect which he emphatically does not deserve, by the Canadian government. But something has gotten under Trump’s skin and he keeps pushing his tired, stale, stupid jokes. Maybe he should see if one of his speech writers can come up with some fresh material. Or, maybe this is what his speech writers are coming up with.

Not the half of us that voted for somebody else. Maybe MAGA thinks this is comical but the rest of the world is looking at this and shaking its collective head. Canada has been our staunch ally through thick and thin. This is not how you treat a neighbor and an ally. But it’s clear that Trump’s dementia has him believing that this is how to go about relating to the other countries on the North American continent.

I pray to God that Kinzinger is right. I would like to think that there will be a reckoning and an awakening and people will realize how horrible Trump is. I mean all the people. Lincoln said, “You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time.” Trump has managed to fool half of the country, twice, and I would like to think that they would wake up at some point. That’s my dream. Maybe it will stay a dream.
This trolling of Canada is infantile and it’s not appreciated. Let’s hope it stays at the trolling stage. Because if Trump is crazy enough to start a trade war with Canada and Mexico, there will be repercussions. Claudia Sheinbaum of Mexico basically laid down the law to Trump that she’s ready to retaliate. You notice Trump’s not trolling her.
There are some who say that Justin Trudeau should not have gone to Mar-a-Lago because now Trump thinks he owns Trudeau. That could be. Trump’s *thinking* is nothing if not twisted. In any event, I’m sure Trudeau’s motivation was to do damage control and what’s done is done at this point.
I hope Trump gets over this bizarre obsession with the Canadians. I truly believe that no good will come from it. Every time Trump does this to Canada, it gets publicized in English and French speaking countries (and there are quite a few of those in the world) and America just looks stupid. But then Trump never has intended to be a president for all Americans. He’s there to perform for the cult and make it worth his financial (and his buddies’) while.

Canada doesn’t admit convicted felons over the border.
He could have sent a strongly worded letter, like the President of Mexico did and that may have been the better choice.
The Canadian people want nothing to do with the United States under the felon. I believe PM Trudeau has decided to put retaliatory tariffs on USA if the felon goes ahead with his plan. He isn’t going to let the felon annex them. That’s for sure!! They do NOT want maple maga gaining power after seeing what the felon is planning to do to us! PM Trudeau was trying to be nice and keep felon from doing his worst but knows that won’t happen. He wasn’t bending the knee. Canadians are not like that.
