There’s been a tremor in the force. Have you felt it?
The Fox – Dominion suit has exposed the horrendously ugly underbelly of a political movement in which profit is the primary motivation, power second, with total conviction that they can have both because they can lie and create their own world. They also have a SCOTUS ready to set state legislatures loose on elections. It is all setup.
So, what’s the problem? The problem is it is all being exposed, and it’s fcking expensive! Yes, of course, there will be those going down with the ship at CPAC but not many. We did about a half dozen stories about the empty deck chairs all over the U.S.S. CPAC as it goes full power into an iceberg.
Now, Trump is trying to impose his own reality (still) amidst a changing world where Rupert might be forced to fire Tucker for the lies pulled off in the last 48 hours. Mitch McConnell has said fck it. He’s with the Chief of Capitol Police on this, not Tucker, wanting no part of any MAGA movement. Now Rupert has to deal with the aftermath of Trump’s takeaway from Tucker’s report, which is just as sensible as the Dominion suit: TRUTH SOCIAL:

Said just like a true sociopathic narcissist immune to facts and even fourth-grade logic. The January 6th Committee should be tried for “fraud” and “treason” because… why? They used different footage? Just because McCarthy followed Trump’s order to release the tapes to Tucker (there’s a common theme running through this), and Tucker found “peaceful people” on the tapes proves exactly nothing.
Plenty of people have gone uncharged or charged with a slap on the wrist. Plenty of people have been found guilty of sedition. Were those juries “fooled”?
Trump is way overplaying his hand, and he’s about to hear about it from people challenging him in the primary. His attempt to convince the MAGAs that he’s the persecuted one and it’s all a “HOAX” sure didn’t fill the seats at CPAC. He may be leading in Republican polls, but they’re meaningless. DeSantis hasn’t even started to run and won’t for quite some time because Trump is beating himself.
Last, Tucker’s own duplicity is on display for the entire world to see. Again, that ugly underbelly and Tucker is doing another Dominion. How many lawsuits could come out of this? Anyone on the January 6th Committee can and likely will sue for defamation, along with Capitol Police officers… Rupert has to make a decision about whether he can afford Tucker Carlson, and the answer is increasingly, “NO.” Tucker texting that he “Hates Trump’s Guts” was all over the news yesterday, yet Trump didn’t care. Murdoch best be careful…
Trump is overplaying his hand, and the powerful Right-Wing MAGA-Media-Trump axis is crumbling. The tremor is felt everywhere. Yes, 25% will be convinced it was all a hoax. The same people believe the vaccine is poison. But a majority of the country, by a large size, will tire of this and the Trump-DeSantis movement.

So Trump has no problem with Tucker hating his (Trump’s) guts, as long as Tucker continues to spread the big lie and the Putin propaganda.

The sad part is that percentage chooses to live in evil darkness while they’re above ground. No repentance is a ticket to unspeakable realities. There ARE more things in heaven and earth than dreamt of in any of our philosophies, and each of us is on the road to finding that out. Shock is part of the deal when we leave this mortal coil, but 25% will not be happy with the eternal prison they’ve built choice by choice. Trump will get his wall. He’ll spend eternity surrounded by the evil he has chosen. As John the Baptist preached, I’d advise the nazis to repent while there’s still time to “change the road you’re on”.(Stairway to Heaven).

Even if Fox loses the Dominion lawsuit, it will carry on as it always has, and just be more careful in choosing its targets. The GOP politicians expressing outrage over Tucker’s latest stunt could grow a spine and refuse to appear on Fox News from now on. But we all know that ain’t gonna happen. They’ll continue to deny and deflect.
It will be a lot harder after that suit. For one thing, they’re going to owe Dominion a billion dollars.
Every Trump has been given the “soft ban” on Fox.
