Let’s see how many people Trumpty Dumpty can corral and keep locked up in a ballroom. In less than three hours time (this is being posted 6:00 p.m. ET) Donald Trump will mount the podium, once again, and defend himself from the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune.
He’s very very upset that Merrick Garland appointed a Special Counsel to investigate both the Mar-a-Lago documents issue and Trump’s involvement in January 6. He was hoping against hope that those two debacles would just die down somehow.
No such luck. The fire didn’t die down, no, Garland poured gasoline on it. Here is what Trump has to say.

Every time I see the words “Clinton” and “socks” in the same sentence, especially capitalized, I think of Chelsea Clinton’s cat, Socks, who jumped into her arms when she was at her piano teacher’s house, and then went on to White House fame. But I’m sure Donald is talking about something else, he always is.

Trump has the right to remain silent, he just doesn’t have the ability. I hope he gets up on the podium and incriminates the hell out of himself. That should be good.
And unless I miss my guess, the parking lot at Mar-a-Lago is going to empty out in the next couple of hours. Nobody is going to want to be drafted to show up as the audience for yet another dullsville rant and not be able to leave, due to security precautions. That was the case on Tuesday. Trump won’t find people ready to fall for the same ploy twice in one week.
Maybe Roger Stone can drop by. He’s local, right? How about Boris Epsteyan? Stephen Miller? Another night with the stars out in Mar-a-Lago.
Stay tuned. Garland introduced an interesting detour here and it will be amusing to watch the wheels fall off of yet another Trump wagon.

I think he hasn’t realised that the witch hunt is over. They found the orange complexioned witch and are just getting the buckets of water filled and ready
I think it’s a mistake for him to do a live address after the one on Tuesday flopped and people were trying to leave early. But let him go ahead. The man is tone deaf.
I don’t know what he thinks a public statement will do. It won’t stop or change these investigations. I guess because he’s a television personality, that’s how he copes. Trying the issues in the court of public opinion.
