Well, y’all, this just takes the cake away from us all now, doesn’t it? tRump doesn’t want anything to happen around his ego-boost parade, just like the veterans who came back missing some part of their body from being deployed in a war. They’re “losers and suckers” (D*MN but that phrase pisses me off every time I hear or read it.), remember? He doesn’t want to see them.
Agent Orange just doesn’t get what a huge insult that is to our troops and veterans. Well, except for the ones who think the Mango Messiah is the best thing since the wheel. There’s no accounting for taste. I don’t understand it, but I have to accept it because just like certain members of my family, they won’t listen to anything against tRump. That about makes me crazy. No, I’m not crazy already, haha. From The New Republic:
President Trump declared that anyone who protests his military/birthday parade—even peacefully—will be met with “very heavy force.”
“We’re celebrating big on Saturday … if there’s any protest that wants to come out they will be met with very big force. And by the way, for those people who wanna protest, they’re gonna be met with very big force,” Trump said, repeating himself. “And I haven’t even heard about a protest, but, you know, these are people that hate our country. But they will be met with very heavy force [sic].”
Really?! That’s a bit … excessive. He doesn’t want to see anyone protesting against his lavish display of power that’s going to cost us, not him, in the neighborhood of $45 MILLION bucks. Yes, 45 million. Well, last I knew, the protests were not planned for anywhere near the damn thing.
I hope anyone who *does* want to protest the parade knows about his threat, because it could be really, really bad if they did. He doesn’t seem to see that this very heavy force could take away from his parade, too. That’s one very small checkmark for our side, but I don’t want to even *think* about what could happen to them. So yea, I’m hoping no one protesting shows up at the parade. There is also a rumor that most members of Congress won’t be going either. Interesting, no?
His threats of “very heavy force” are entirely credible, given his gleeful deployment of thousands of National Guardsmen and Marines (who were without rules of engagement at the time) into Los Angeles without the consent of the city’s mayor, Karen Bass, or the state’s governor, Gavin Newsom, after protesters interfered with ICE roundups.
As far as protests go, there are at least 1,500 massive “No Kings Day” actions planned for the afternoon of Trump’s parade, June 14, in Washington, D.C. and across the country. There are signs that the president’s bombastic response in Los Angeles is causing the number of those who intend to attend a protest on Saturday to increase.
Open mouth, insert foot, Agent Orange. You’ve done the opposite of what you wanted to do. Too bad, so sad. I’ll bet *that* little piece of news won’t reach him. It’s a pity it won’t, because there would be ketchup all over the White House. But then, who knows what it will ruin, and the cleanup? Ooofffff, let’s not think about that. No Crowns. No Kings.”
Trump is itching to brutalize dissenters, and his history suggests that he is more than willing to send orders to do so, especially in the nation’s capital. Saturday has the potential to be disastrous.
*That* is what worries me. Brutalize. D*mn. There is not a thing I can do to warn them. I hope they take El Presidente Imbécil’s temper into account, because this has the potential to be very, very bad. Let’s fervently hope the protesting doesn’t happen there. We don’t need martial law.
