Maybe Donald Trump will do for Democrats that which we could not do for ourselves, which is to turn Arizona into a nice blazing blue state. He and his MAGA minions seem hellbent on tearing the state apart.

Here’s the latest. Arizona governor Doug Ducey is being touted as a senate candidate. This has been going on for a while and Ducey has been playing coy, not confirming a run but not shooting it out of the water forever.

Along comes Donald Trump and for reasons known only to him, he decides to shoot Ducey out of the water.

It looks like there’s a third party in this country now, the MAGA party. And it may stay that way. Generally speaking, third parties serve to siphon votes away from the Democrats. But in this case, the Republican party may be split in two, because mighty King Donald, who is the anti-Solomon, has decreed it.

Fine. Keep wrecking the GOP in Arizona. And I’m sure McConnell is uncorking the bourbon right about now. He doesn’t need this. This is not the way to win back a majority in the Senate.

I’m quite sure there are time every day when he feels cold fury that the GOP didn’t find a way to keep in in office and not having every single Representative and Senator support every single challenge to those electoral slates & dragging out the process as long as possible was a COMPLETE betrayal by his Party. That includes people at the state level not having special sessions to “decertify” their electors and present a new certificate to Congress for approval.

It’s not as crazy as it sounds that someone would destroy something/someone because they can’t have it/them. Happens every day. Once upon a time earlier in life I was in a job where I sometimes saw this play out in the ugliest and most tragic of ways. Seeing shattered bodies on a slab, the end result of a murder/suicide by someone who decided (usually but not always a guy) “If I can’t have her then nobody can” and killed a spouse, lover and sometimes even their kids because they couldn’t accept that they’d had their victim(s) choose to move on from them. Again, it happens every day. And it happens in business where someone decides that if they don’t get the promotion they want or get fired then they will do their damndest to destroy that business. So no, I don’t think it’s a stretch at all to wonder if Trump has decided that the GOP didn’t fully support him, that many powerful people in the Party want him GONE and that polling shows that even conservative voters are barely in favor of him running again that he might decide to destroy the GOP.

      • Delliot, methinks the best example of this pathological state is Hitler destroying Germany, once it became clear that his war was lost. He blamed the German people, of course, and its armed forces, and decreed that they all must die with him and his dream of world Aryan domination. It’s what magalomanics do.

  1. Things where better with Trump?more employment in Entergy independent selling instead off buying. Inflation practically non existent come on man open your eyes China owns Biden family

  2. I live in Arizona. Fortunately, Doug Ducey is term-limited and cannot be reelected as our Governor. He is one of the worst, after Abbot of Texas, DeSantis of Florida, Kim Reynolds of Iowa, and Kristi Noem of South Dakota. He has done such a terrible job that no one in the State of Arizona wants him as our Senator. We have too many problems already with Kyrsten Sinema. Mark Kelly is a wonderful person and a great Senator. We need to keep him.
