Most of us know what money pressures are. It’s a rare person indeed that hasn’t experienced a frightening crunch or emergency expense at least a few times in life. And if you’re the kind of person who lives footloose and fancy free, ignoring judges who sanction you ninety grand and letting enormous bills pile up even for your telephone, then you will know a certain kind of pressure that is intense beyond belief. Rudy Giuliani fits this description. He’s got bill upon bill. He recently did a pilgrimage, two in fact, to Mar-a-Lago to ask Massa Mango Messiah if he could be of assistance. Michael Cohen’s take on that was that Giuliani “had a greater chance of sling-shooting himself to the moon” than he does of having Donald Trump pay his bills. Cohen should know.
The video you’re about to see is from May of 2021. But things have not changed for Giuliani — except to get worse.
On Monday, Giuliani was indicted along with Trump and 17 other co-defendants for helping to overturn the 2020 election. Giuliani faces 13 charges, including racketeering. It is likely that Giuliani will be under immense pressure to cooperate with federal and state prosecutors.
Trump did make some small promises to Giuliani, sources say. He agreed to stop by two fundraisers for Giuliani, and to cover an outstanding fee from Trustpoint, a data vendor hosting Giuliani’s records. A few months after their meeting, Trump’s Save America PAC paid $340,000 to Trustpoint.
Giuliani has been in dire straits for months and is facing hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal bills.
At a hearing on Wednesday in the ongoing defamation lawsuit against the former mayor brought by Smartmatic, the voting technology company, another attorney for Giuliani told the judge that Giuliani does not have the money to pay additional legal costs to produce records for that case.
“There are a lot of bills that he’s not paying,” Giuliani’s attorney Adam Katz said at the hearing. “I think this is very humbling for Mr. Giuliani.”
With the new indictment, Smartmatic’s defamation suit, his former associate’s sexual abuse lawsuit against him, and yet another lawsuit over an anti-Biden documentary scam, this is looking like it will be a very expensive year for the former mayor. If only his partner in crime were willing to foot the bill.
Trump doesn’t want to pay Giuliani. That much is clear. And all of the smoke that Giuliani was blowing back when Strike Force Rudy was in business, about $20,000 a day in legal fees, was merely his fantasy. Hey, I don’t blame you, Rude. I wouldn’t mind making $20K daily myself. It’s only in my dreams, too, so far.
At this point it would appear that Trump has had the final word. But the truth of the matter is, that Giuliani could be a dangerous foe:
Refusing to pay Giuliani has only grown more dangerous for Trump personally, as it could drive his former attorney to flip. CNN explained:
But what has surprised those in Trump’s inner circle is the former president’s unwillingness to pay for Giuliani’s bills, given Giuliani could find himself under intense pressure to cooperate with the federal and state prosecutors who have charged Trump …
“It’s not a smart idea” for Trump to refuse to pay Giuliani’s legal fees, one person close to the situation told CNN, referencing how Trump’s relationship with Michael Cohen famously deteriorated while he was investigated by special counsel Robert Mueller.
Cohen himself has offered some insight into Trump’s possibly self-destructive refusal to help Giuliani financially. Last year, Trump’s fixer turned foe told MSNBC that Giuliani has “a better chance of sling-shooting himself to the moon” than of extracting payment from Trump. “His feeling is it is an honor and a privilege to go to prison for him, to do his dirty work,” Cohen explained.
Again, he would know. Cohen did the crime and Cohen did the time. It’s well known in the jungle that the wounded animal is the most dangerous. Right now Giuliani is cornered. He’s been going broke for some time and there’s only so much going broke before you’re gone. Since Giuliani and his lawyer made two, not just one but two, pilgrimages to Mar-a-Lago this year to kiss the ring, they’re desperate.
And Trump doesn’t care. But he might, if in fact he’s afraid of Giuliani. So the question we leave on is, has Rudy not made it clear to Donald the damage he could do? It seems unbelievable that he would not.
This is where the next flashpoint in Trump world occurs, mark my words. Giuliani is only going to get progressively more desperate and desperate people will do anything. Giuliani will hit bottom at some point, soon, and then look out. If Trump can’t figure this out, then he’s a bigger fool than we know.

A desperate Giuliani flipping on Trump because he hasn’t been paid?
Rarely is Karma so entwined with revenge.
Donnie, boy, I feel it would be an honor for YOU to go to prison for ME….and for the other 300+ million people in this country….
You know, I once considered it an honor to have served my country, both in uniform and as a civilian (FEMA) as well as in other ways just trying to help out in communities I lived in or serving as a Board member for the local Continuum of Care for the homeless in my area. But. as I’ve written before the rise of Trump to obtain just the nomination of a major political Party for President and his sleazing his way into the WH via assistance from Putin/Russia and the vestigial Constitutional organ known as the Electoral College none of it meant sh*t. That so many tens of millions were so filled with hate or greed or both to vote for someone like Trump proves this isn’t the country I was so proud to serve. And my own service wasn’t all that remarkable. But I think of my father, the wounds both physical and I’d come to understand after his death psychological, and that of others like him in my hometown, and so many other’s I meet in my life (some of whom did in fact die serving us all) and I’ve wept more than once.
This country is no longer worthy of that kind of service and sacrifice. We haven’t given up on trying to be worthy again, so some hope still lives within me that during the rest of whatever lifetime I have left I will once again feel the pride I once did.
But to Trump, his political enablers and every f**cking person that voted for him and intends to do so again I say F**K YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He and you have inflicted gaping wounds on our country, wound so great even if we survive once healed will leave giant, visible scars forever. I wish I believed in heaven and hell so I could enjoy the prospect of you suffering horribly in the latter, although no amount of torture Satans’ minions could inflict upon Trump and you could make up for what you have done.
Don’t forget to save some of that bile to the “Democrats” who so willingly bought into the far-right conspiracy against Hillary (and Bill) for the nearly quarter-century before her 2016 run that they refused to vote for her under any circumstances.
Whether or not they bought into the poling that showed Hillary would have an overwhelming win that they felt it would be safe to vote third-party or just sit out the election, they also bear a great deal of responsibility for Trump’s election. (I’m absolutely convinced there were far more “Hillary haters” who voted for someone else than there were “Never Trumpers” who voted for someone else.)
Mr Rude-Knee is cornered and he’s now dangerous. He’ll unseat and sink his stiletto, then give it a good twist, so as to exact his pound of flesh.
before helping Trump try to overturn the election wasn’t Rudy making around 30 million a year as some kind of consultant to various autocrats? or something like that. what do these people do with all their money?
I don’t think there is interest in Giuliani flipping. He is such a dirty liar that jurors would not believe him. There would need to be an another witness, his testimony alone is not enough. Therefore he is pretty much useless to everyone. Pathetic. Trapped like the rat he is.
Rudy has the credibility problems you cite and has long had them. So, he would have had to had a LOT of rock solid “receipts” to cut a deal to become a cooperating witness against Trump early on but at least he’d have had a chance. It sure seems to me like he waited WAY too long, and by the time he did go begging for a deal (been doing so for a while now if reporting is accurate) prosecutors had plenty of evidence from others – including against Rudy. By the time he decided to try for a deal he didn’t have anything to offer that prosecutors didn’t already have. And from more credible sources and witnesses! They don’t need Rudy anymore and in fact haven’t needed him for a long time now. I hope the submb*tch’s days are filled with dread and, when he managed to collapse into exhausted sleep it’s filled with nightmares.
denis…I feel you, not only as a vet, with a family history of combat veterans, but as a father worried about my children’s future. I can accept a few dumba$$es, but 74 MILLION? I can only hope the Democrats grow the balls to fight, without worrying about their cushy lifestyles and rich donors. No one HAS EVER won a war WITHOUT WARRIORS. If we lose this one, all of us are headed to nazi hell. Anyone thinking they will come to their senses is smoking crack. They will finish destroying the planet with nowhere to run to. Smug, comfortable, well meaning, but misguided ‘progressives’ need to stop this idealistic protest vote bullsh*t. They might as well wear armbands with swastikas and Maga hats.
Like I say below. Anyone supporting this crap ain’t a democrat. The thing is Trump was a democrat about maybe ten years ago. Sometime during Obama the Democratic leadership caught up to the clown over him and the birth certificate and told him to either shut the hell up about Obama or don’t let the door hit you where the good lord split you.
Well considering they would want to put Rudy where people he prosecuted are and that Trump not only failed to pay the little gremlin but he also kicked him to the curb. He was no longer part of the Trump defense team where he could eat at mar a Lego and wherever else Trump ended up. You would have “the group” that walked into a restaurant and started grabbing tables and and chairs and scooting them together. You had the rooms that got booked when they would tell the poor girl behind the desk to find x amount of rooms close together and the rest we would hope on the same floor. I’ve seen this kind of crap. It utterly sucks that theses people are told how to do there job.
