This is a goodie! Rachel Maddow of MSNBC shows how this travesty really is. tRump’s not doing so well on his “tough guy” image. I wonder how long it will be before he finds out. The temper tantrum will be enormous! I hope his staff knows how to duck the flying ketchup.

I believe he does know how his “birthday military parade” flopped and didn’t even give a few last twitches. All the news showed his *lack* of attendance, even though it was supposed to show how “wonderful” (yeah, right) he was and the power he has. Heck, the soldiers in the parade couldn’t even be bothered to march in step!

I’m also pissed off how he made this parade about *him* when it should have been about the Army’s 250th birthday. Was there any coverage that included that? I wonder if any of them were wishing they were at the No Kings protests instead of a stupid, worthless parade. Heh. From MSNBC:

After millions took to the streets this past weekend to protest against President Donald Trump’s administration, Rachel Maddow said Trump has become a “sad” and “small” political figure. On Monday night’s show, Maddow referenced the thousands of “No Kings” protests that took place across the country on Saturday and compared them with the apparent sparse showing at Trump’s military parade, which occurred in Washington, D.C., on the same day.

Maddow said the lack of attendance likely irked crowd-obsessed Trump, who she said was upset that “nobody came to his $45 million military birthday party.” But, according to Maddow, Trump’s diminishing profile isn’t just a domestic issue. She said the president’s early exit from the G7 summit on Monday made him a “laughingstock on the world stage.” She said the president was “so embarrassing himself” at the summit, where, she claimed, he was being treated like “Putin’s intern.”

Putin’s intern. Ooooo, that’s good! I’ll have to remember that phrase because it makes me giggle. Anything that makes me giggle regarding the second administration is great! And embarrassing himself (again) on the world stage? Yup, he continues the farce, and It Is Not Working. However, I’m wondering if we’ll ever be able to restore ourselves.

If idiotic Traitor Tot turns the country into his own private dictatorship, the answer to that question is oh H*ll no. If we managed to hang onto our democracy, then the answer is maybe. It likely will depend on whether we get a Democrat president again. If it’s JD Vance? Forget about it. That’s going to make it just as bad, if not worse. Have a little bit more from Rachel, still via MSNBC:

Maddow then ticked through other areas where she argued the president had embarrassed himself in recent weeks, including his back-and-forth on tariffs, which she said has become a “punchline.” Americans are watching Trump “fail and flail over and over again,” Maddow said.

“So for a would-be strongman, he’s not strong,” Maddow concluded. “He’s a remarkably weak and feckless political figure who is nevertheless trying to overthrow the American form of government while pushing incredibly unpopular policies and executing everything incredibly poorly with a laughingstock full of a terribly, terribly staffed administration and Cabinet.”

According to Maddow, that’s good news for Trump’s opposition: “Everybody against him is getting stronger and more confident; everybody with him is starting to get a little worried about how long they can stay with him.” “The opposition against him is big, deep, growing, and increasingly unstoppable,” Maddow said.

I think that is the most succinct description I’ve heard about the man WHO PAINTS HIS FACE ORANGE for months. We need to remember this. It shows we are making a difference. It shows that Democrats in Congress might finally be waking up and pushing back. I still say We Can Do This. Thanks for sticking with me!

We thank all of you who have donated. You’re keeping this blog on the internet, believe me. One of the battles we fight is the inconsistency of ad revenue because politics in this country is so polarized and a lot of advertisers just seek to avoid the political. They’d rather advertise on food blogs and be safe, doughnuts before democracy. All we’re trying to do is stay in business because we believe the work is important. Thank you if you can assist. If we didn’t need it, we wouldn’t be asking. Ursula

  1. “so much winning”! Hey orangebob shitpants…even some cult members want out as you screw them…there’s a thing called real life experience, something you know nothing of…the Europeans’ memories of the last fascist takeover is called education born from experience. They see a moronic spouled toddler with no idea of what to do in a real fight. He has always gotten someone else to do the fighting. You can’t suck off putin for years in the public eye and then pretend you aren’t his bitch. You are. The word is out pissant.

    • “the Europeans’ memories of the last fascist takeover is called education born from experience.”

And yet, several European countries seem to enjoy flirting with embracing the new fascists seeking to restore their own countries to “greatness.” Hungary’s the most obvious example (and a lot of people–seemingly even in Hungary, despite the “education” they received–forget that Hungary was an ally of Hitler for much of the war, and Orban seems to be emulating the example of Ferenc Szalasi and his Arrow Cross Party during the Horthy regency) but Italy’s current PM is a member of a far-right party and Germany and France have both faced significant challenges from their own far-right movements. Several other European countries have seen moderately conservative parties lean towards accepting far-right policies (even bringing in far-right party officials into cabinet posts) as a means of winning over far-right voters (or winning over far-right legislators to help form governments).

      • Fascism is always lurking just beneath the surface, because there are always greedy, amoral people who want to give themselves power and wealth, without bothering about trying to get elected in a free society. And there are always stupid, poorly educated people willing to believe their lies, as long as they’re offered a handy scapegoat for all their woes. That’s why they say that eternal vigilance is the price of freedom.
