At least one person has had enough of Blanche and his shenanigans. The question is whether or not others will join him. This looks to be an epic-level reminder that Blanche can’t hide what he does any more than Bondi could. And remember, Blanche talked to Ghislaine, who is still trying to get out of prison in a minimum security location, which she should not be allowed in. That was our first warning with him. Now he’s in line for the AG position. We’ve had hints here and there about him, but only the one blatant action. What is hiding from the light? With appreciation for Raw Story:
The man whom Donald Trump wants to be his attorney general is in for a rude awakening, according to one lawmaker. Rep. Ted Lieu is done being subtle about Todd Blanche. The California Democrat delivered a blunt message to the acting attorney general late on Saturday night after Blanche announced the DOJ would not be releasing the 2.5 million remaining Epstein files in its possession, saying the department had “moved on.”
Yea no. The *law* states they *all* must be released, not “some”. By saying this, he is breaking the law. He has admitted that he knows there are more. And he doesn’t want to put them out. Gotta save Trump, after all. They’ve had a large number of people going through and redacting. They’ve been doing it for a while. This is redirecting. This is baloney. They haven’t been able to say no before. Blanche won’t be able to say no now, even though he’s trying to.
Lieu wasn’t having it. “Dear Todd Blanche: You don’t get to decide to ‘move on‘ from the Epstein Files or from following the congressional law,” Lieu wrote. “That decision can only be made by the American people and Congress. You will be disbarred. The files will eventually be released.” Lieu added, “November is coming.”
That was blunt. That was appropriate. Blanche doesn’t get to decide to hold the files back. Just because he is acting AG does not mean he can break the law. There have already been months of delays. It is past time for them to be released. Bondi fuffed up the releases already. They were due in December, and it is now June. Blanche has been put on notice. The Senate has a narrow majority, and could make his life hell with all the questioning that is coming down the pike. They are watching this whole thing, too.
Blanche is already facing serious legal jeopardy on a separate front. As Raw Story reported Saturday, 35 retired federal judges filed a motion accusing Blanche of committing fraud upon the court in connection with Trump’s $1.8 billion IRS settlement — a finding that, if verified, could cost him his law license in New York, where he is licensed to practice, according to legal experts.
Gotta love it. That’s poetic justice. That slush fund idea needs to be completely and thoroughly obliterated. Any way it’s done is fine as long as it gets killed something resembling permanently. Trump must be desperate to try something that blatant in public. There is so much wrong with that whole situation. 35 judges filed. Not one or two, but many. They *really* know law. This is not a brand-new lawyer talking. The amount of experience among all of them must be staggering. If Blanche gets taken down, who will Trump try next?
LilBlueSock are you still here? See you soon!
Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that, of all the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

Retribution may be coming to Todd Blanche long before the November elections. Neither Democrats nor Republicans can afford to ignore the Epstein files cover-up. Blanche’s refusal to release the remaining files is the perfect reason to vote down his nomination for Attorney General. Trump made a tactical error by trying to get Blanche confirmed before the election — there’s only one priority that both parties MUST share as November approaches, and that’s releasing all the Epstein files. After all, would any voter with two brain cells to rub together want to name as the nation’s chief law enforcement officer someone who blatantly violates the law?
