How fortunate we are to have the moral and spiritual guidance of that giant of working class men, Eric Trump. Seriously. The clips you are about to see below are a total scream.
Trump reveals how he’s like Ben Franklin, early to bed, early to rise. No screenwriter could make this up.
Clip One: Eric as the perfect father.
Eric Trump: “I wake up at 4:30 in the morning every single morning. I say the Pledge of Allegiance’ to my 5 year old and my 3 year old. Then I say the Lord’s Prayer, then I say 2 other family prayers. That’s how I live a clean, positive life.” pic.twitter.com/eYuOB94rHW

Eric leads such a good, clean, positive life that he had to invoke the Fifth Amendment 500 times. You remember that?
Oh, and here’s another example of clean living. Remember stealing the money from the kids’ cancer fund? And that’s what led to the Trump’s not being able to do “charity” work in New York State. But he’s the paragon of clean living, yep.
Let us forge ahead.
Eric Trump describes his blue-collar childhood: “I grew up wiring buildings with electricians, pouring concrete, doing tile work, running HVAC, cutting down trees, running backhoes.” pic.twitter.com/H2HsFsR92d

What a man for all seasons. A construction worker, a stevedore. My Gawd. I am overwhelmed.
And then there’s this. He holds Daddy up to being a religious figure. This is the day after a prominent pastor testified before Congress that it was a Faustian bargain dealing with the GOP.
Eric says Trump saved christianity from Barack Obama: “Religion would not be what it is right now if not for Donald Trump. He’s a religious guy. He may not have worn it on his shirt sleeve the way that certain politicians do .. for votes.” pic.twitter.com/SlYSrs2QgO

Here’s what most of us remember.

So actually I guess you can agree with Eric’s statement, “religion would not be what it is without Donald Trump.” That’s fair to say, really.

Actually, I’m starting to appreciate Don Junior right now. At least he’s come out and said, “I have no idea what the hell is happening now.” That does make him the smart one.

Humans have an amazing capacity for self-delusion. The trump family has this capacity in spades.
It’s laughable to think Eric Trump did that blue collar stuff he claims. However, I have no problem at all with him being taken to watch them, and being warned that would be his life if he didn’t suck up to his piece of shit father. So maybe he watched. And made wisecracks about or even at them from his privileged perch on the sidelines.
It reminds me of a movie who’s name I can’t seem to recall about three ex-wives that were pals and got dumped by their husbands for younger women. Diane Keaton’s character was insanely rich (well, he hubby was) and she carried on a bit about cooking, cleaning & laundry and even ironing his undershorts. When she got “the look” from her pals she said “Well, I supervised!”
It’s also laughable to think that he gets up before 4:30am to wake up his kids and do a ritual like that.
Somehow, the image of Eric, sitting by a heap of remote controls for those model construction machines of his, about 5-6 feet away from his gold-plated sand box, where Eric AND his Dad, spend hours, setting up their latest grift …
Those stories of his, swirl these images around in my head, because I know how to fell a tree using chainsaws, wedges and safety procedures to prevent head strikes and horrible saw injuries, obviously, Eric MAY have had one of those strikes …
First Wives Club. a great film, totally hysterical.
Thanks. I recall really enjoying it. Now I wish I could watch it again.
The book was better than the movie.
He must mean the older Ben Franklin who went to France and spent his time chasing women. He was a brilliant guy but also a leech.
How he could possibly refer to his corpulent, fascistic, treasonous, etc, father as a religious man is truly amazing. Could anyone possibly be that much of a moron?
Oh it’s possible.
