The thankless child in this article is, of course, Donald John Trump. What more does the fucking brat want? After all, the GOP gave him something he had never had before in his life! 5 1/2 years of media attention and reach that he never could have dreamed of on The Apprentice, and the chance to line his pockets from the US Treasury for forcing the government to pay premium rack rates for the Secret Service agents assigned to protect his life. But dude, it’s over. You ran the grift, and you made some coin. Time to pack up, go back to the greens, and work on your putz.
But Trump is the gift that just keeps on giving. Mitch McConnell is terrified of a 1/6 commission, because it would prove Trump’s involvement. House Minority Coward Kevin McCarthy is desperate to stop talking about the election and the insurrection. And neither one of them are going to get their most cherished wishes. Because Traitor Tot has brought along his friends.
Because right now, McCarthy has the Gruesome Twosome, Laborious MTG and Sugar Daddy Matt Gaetz running around the country like the Boobsey Twins, giving speeches to raise money. Every time they do, the Democratic 1/6 attack ads write themselves, and Kevin McCarthy’s worst nightmares come true.
Here’s an example. For some reason, the obscene Taylor Greene has managed to fixate on the idea that comparing Speaker Pelosi’s mask mandate with pre Holocaust Jews being required to wear gold Stars of David is somehow a winning combo for her. Now, I am not a seasoned political operative, but even I can see the positive effect of combining her remarks on video with canned footage from 1/6 of retards in MAGA hats and Hitler was right, and Camp Auschwitz t-shirts. She just tied herself and the GOP back to the insurrection.
Sugar Daddy Gaetz is no better. Recently he gave a speech in which he gave a totally delusional tutorial on the actual meaning of the 2nd Amendment, in which he said that the sole purpose of the amendment was to arm the civilian population to overthrow the government. Cue that video with cuts to stock footage of Trumpaholics screaming Hang Mike Pence outside the Capitol, and Oath Creeper indictments stating how they were to remain, armed, outside of the city limits and wait for Trump to proclaim an insurrection, and mobilize the to move in as a militia. This kind of stupid can’t be taught, it’s a gift from God.
Now look, white suburban women figure to be pivotal in 2022, and they have proven that they absolutely hate Trump! But if they do, how do you think they’re going to like Satan’s Handmaidens coming in to their town to spread the good word. But it just got even worse for McCarthy and McConnell.
Because the Mar-A-Lago Moron just announced that he’s putting the band back together! Later this month, Trump is going to burn some of that easy pickings Leadership PAX money to embark on a campaign style swing of rally events in Trump friendly locations. To Quote former DNI Dan Coates, Won’t that be special?
This is a literal rerun of the 2018 midterms. Trump was as popular as dog shit on your heel, and the GOP wished with all of their black little hearts for him to stay in the White House and shut up, and instead he insisted on turning the elections, in which his name wasn’t on the ballot, into a referendum on him. It cost the GOP 40 House seats, and at least 2 easy Senate flips.
And he’s about to do it again, simply because he needs the rush. Trump by himself back in 2018 was enough to scuttle the GOP, but this time around he’s going to have pocket nitwits like Gaetz and Taylor Greene spreading the gospel far and wide. If Biden can manage to get the voting reform bills passed, that will undo the toxic state laws being passed. But even if he doesn’t, it might not matter.
Because if Democrats are motivated enough, register like the dickens, and show up, they can’t keep then from voting. But it’s much easier for morons like Gaetz, Taylor Greene, and Trump himself to turn off white suburban women voters, as well as all of the other moderate GOP voters sick to death of Trump to just sit this one out. And that can be just as effective. Don’t touch that dial.
