OK gang, let’s cut loose and have a little gin! Since my eyes improved, I’ve been a busy little camper, and all of you have been busy little readers, and all of it has been serious and earthshaking. What say that just for a change of pace, we have a little lighthearted fun, although everything in the article is as serious as a heart attack.
I have been turning this over in my mind for a few days now, filling in the edges, holding reality checks, and now I’m ready. What I want to talk about today is the 2022 election, but I want to do it a little differently. I want to look at the quality of the candidates, and their qualifications. Here we go.
Following the election of Donald Trump in 2016, The non Trump portion of the country underwent a national heart spasm. The outrage over the election of a hedonistic, racist, narcissistic hypocrite spawned national protests. On the day after his inauguration the protests, not only in the US, but worldwide set a global one day record for attendance. Every Trump order was met with massive protests. Trump’s election had inadvertently resurrected social activism in this country again.
Which brought out those good old fashioned unintended consequences again. 2018 brought with it a deluge of progressive lawyers, teachers, dentists, construction workers, college professors, and every stripe between who felt the calling to step forward into the public service, and make a positive difference. And they handed the Democrats a 40 seat house tsunami in 2018 that put Nancy Pelosi back in power.
But what about on the GOP side. Let’s be honest, The Cheeto Prophet is the ultimate New York con man, and he spent 4 years treating the presidency as nothing more than the ultimate con. And whether they are new, or already hidden in place, cons will always sniff out and exploit a con.
Perfect example. In 2018, conspiracy theorist, QAnon supporter and all around far right wingnut Marjorie Taylor Greene got herself elected in a reliably safe red Georgia district. And immediately went on the grist. She started saying and doing insane shit, aka of which she immediately posted on social media, complete with a link to donate to her campaign. And became a Trombie poster child.
Pathetic GOP grifter troll Sugar Daddy Matt Gaetz was already in the House. Following Trump’s election he became one of the first to go to Mar-A-Lago and do a Neil-and-Bob. And then immediately went on the grift, saying and doing insane shit all for the benefit of social media, with a link for donations for personal kaboodle. After Trump’s loss, Gaetz joined with Inglorious MTG for a Stop the Steal tour to make more money.
And let’s not forget the truly detestable Jim He groped me coach! Jordan, who became Trump’s most stalwart defender in committees that were busy investigating and impeaching Trump. And of course, all of those heroic exploits were fully covered on his social media feeds, with links for personal donations.
Ladies and gentlemen. this is the landscape for the upcoming 2022 midterm elections. Der Gropinfuror is desperate to retain hold over his slipping support as the GOP Furor. And he will reflexively back every far right loony that runs in a primary against an incumbent whom Trumpleforeskin finds unclean. And they will all share one thing in common. They will all be far right grifters, looking to get to Washington to do a nipple clamp on the dark money teat. This is the legacy of Trump in the GOP.
Meanwhile, the Democrats are going to be putting forward serious, qualified, heartfelt citizen candidates that want to go to Washington to make a positive difference. They will be on the ballot in critical GOP suburban swing districts. And the GOP is already scarifying women, especially GOP dominant white suburban women with the thought that their GOP dominated state legislatures will adopt Texas’s brain dead abortion law. What could go wrong?

I just wonder if Matt Gaetz will ever face charges for all the terrible things he has done. Things seem to be moving very slowly, if at all with his case.
Why are the G&G Bros still free as birds? Ghoulani & Gaetz should have been locked up long ago. This Justice Dept is moving glaciallym why?
Because they have to have evidence and all that stuff. The law *isn’t* usually fast. It can take a year or more from charges/indictment to trial.
