This is not a surprise. It’s been leading up to this. The Pentagon is pissed at Petey Boy. It’s about time. Hegseth’s treatment of, and changes in the military (testosterone tests and no beard – really?) are excessive and ridiculous. He doesn’t think about the people we lost overseas in Iran. He thinks it’s about how everyone looks. We won’t go into the religions because he is trying to control everyone in the military with his white Christian beliefs. Then there’s his prejudice against anyone in the military who isn’t a white male. But that’s a topic worth ranting about at another time.
It seems that a whole bunch of people at the Pentagon have been watching Hegseth closely and making note of it. All the shizzle and lack of responsibility are going to come back to haunt him. It’s not the Scrooge of Christmas past we need. No, Hegseth needs to be visited by the Scrooge of Christmas present, to use an analogy for words that won’t quite come out. He needs to have all his f*ckups laid out before him and show how much of the military has been screwed up because of him. Just for a start, all the generals he has fired. They will show what they actually did. Watch them and weep, Petey Boy.
But on the other hand, Pentagon workers have been keeping track of his shizzle. We can bet that there’s a lot of what he’s done (lie detector test, anyone?) that hasn’t come out of there. Not yet, at least. Sooooo, let’s see, with gratitude, some quotes from Raw Story:
Disgruntled Pentagon insiders have quietly built a hidden cache they believe could finally end Pete Hegseth’s tenure as defense secretary. Several Defense Department officials have spent close to two years collecting emails, memos, and meeting notes about Hegseth and stashing copies in separate hiding spots, the Daily Mail reported Saturday. One set sits in a gun safe in Northern Virginia, another in a safe-deposit box at a Washington bank, and a third somewhere on the West Coast, according to the outlet.
The insiders said the records document times Hegseth and his inner circle allegedly brushed aside strategic and legal guidance, lashed out at the advisers who offered it, kept information from Congress and the public, and threatened the careers of subordinates who challenged him or whom he saw as disloyal.
Hmmm. That sounds about right. He really won’t listen to people, especially anything about Iran and our other bases overseas. The bases were woefully underprepared, and much should have been done for them before Hegseth (and Trump) attacked Iran. Now Iran knows our bases can be destroyed, giving us a world of hurt. We’re not even trying to rebuild them! Hopefully, the people at those bases who survived the attacks will have positions elsewhere.
Hegseth should not be leading Defense. He has no idea what he’s doing, but no matter what, he’s always right, never wrong. And, lawdy, if you remember his press conferences, think of how touchy he is. His ego is nearly as bad as Trump’s. That’s saying something. Well, with all the information Pentagon insiders have gathered, we might be able to get rid of him. Keep your fingers crossed, folks. After we win the House, which is almost guaranteed, with hope for the Senate, Petey Boy will have to answer some hard questions. Good. He deserves that.
