Let me put it this way: the SNL writers could not write a more racist screed than what you are about to view. If this was satire, it would be good satire, the best. But it is real. The woman running for the GOP nomination in Texas-31 really is this kind of overtly racist fishwife. So much so that even Donald Trump won’t touch her with a ten foot pole, so you know it’s got to be gawdawful.
Valentina Gomez announced her run for Texas’ 31st Congressional District with one of the most vile racist messages I’ve seen:

Do you believe you just watched that in the year 2025? Or in any year? Here is Trump’s response. And bear in mind that he put together the Muslim ban as one of his very first acts in office in 2017.

Agree with both these comments, particularly the one about confusing cosmetic distance with a moral line. Gomez would have done much better by praising Trump for the Muslim ban and vowing to work together with the cult leader to bring that back, something along those lines. But the blatant racism was too much for Trump to jump on board with, not the racism itself. Trump’s totally down for all that.
Just like Trump thought Sidney Powell’s plans to steal the election were too nuts to be taken seriously. He was dying to steal the election, nothing interested him more, but Powell was talking so crazy (this was when she wanted to be appointed White House counsel) that even Trump couldn’t take her seriously.
This was when Powell was pushing the idea that the deceased Hugh Chavez had put together a plot with voting machines he created in Venezuela. This was in the era of the Italian satellites switching votes. This was when Powell wanted the military to seize voting machines and Bill Barr shut down that idea as crazy.
Trump was all for fighting the election, he just needed better ammo than what Powell was providing. And the same is true with Gomez. Trump’s fine with the anti-Muslim propaganda, he just doesn’t like the way she packages it. It’s not subtle enough for him. When you’re not subtle enough for Donald Trump, you have truly missed the boat. The man is not exactly known for nuance himself. If his best instinct is to back away, you know you’re toxic if not out and out batshit, as both Powell and Gomez clearly are.

Well, Drumpf doesn’t *really* hate all Muslims–not even the ones living in this country.
You just have to be a WEALTHY Muslim for him to not spew venom and bile at you. I mean, Drumpf is all best buds with the likes of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and he gladly accepted that little plane from the Qatari “government” (proof POSITIVE he doesn’t hate all Muslims!). And I’m sure the Persian immigrant community didn’t engage in mass conversion after fleeing Iran in the 1980s (and I wouldn’t think their offspring and the offspring’s offspring “bucked” the family’s faith traditions) and while there are probably *some* poor Persians, the general stereotype is they’re largely very affluent.
