He just doesn’t give up. If you speak out against his administration, you’re an enemy, even if what was done had nothing to do with Trump himself. This is so petty and such a waste of time and resources, but when the ‘master’ demands, one must obey. Good grief. With thanks to Raw Story:
President Donald Trump’s Justice Department made another massive escalation in the unrest in Minnesota as they announced a federal investigation into Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, allegedly on the basis that their remarks criticizing Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials in the Twin Cities were part of a plot to obstruct federal law enforcement. The move follows days of fury and protests after an ICE agent fatally shot 37-year-old mom of three, Renee Nicole Good.
This is some bullsh!t. Come on, people, really? That’s the best you can do? Remarks to obstruct? Oh, puh-lease. That’s just weak. We have to assume there’s some sort of legal something or other, but we can also be sure that any grand jury in Minnesota is going to laugh them out of the room and say ‘oh HELL no’. Is their AG correctly installed? They don’t need another Lindsey Halligan, who is still up to her ears in alligators. But anyhow, back on topic:
The report of the federal investigation into Democratic officials prompted immediate outcry and accusations of further abuse of power by the Trump administration. “Donald Trump’s corrupted DOJ will stop at nothing — including ridiculous theories unsupported by facts — in pursuing his revenge agenda,” wrote Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) on X. “No one is safe from his abuse of power. It’s sick.”
“Wild how fast Trump’s Department of Justice moves when it’s about politics and retribution — but when it’s about Renee Good and getting real justice? Suddenly, it’s crickets,” wrote Democratic National Committee chair Ken Martin. “Convenient. What a joke.”
Big crickets, too, although they’re not as loud as cicadas. But seriously, how hypocritical can you be? (No, Jonathan Ross, you did not have internal injuries.) Okay, we can pretend that question wasn’t asked, since we already know the answer is ‘very’. It seems like DHS and all of its divisions, plus ICE Barbie, are sliding faster and faster downhill. We should surf the web and see if we can find an ICE article every day of the week, and then also consecutively to see how long a streak they get going. Could be entertaining!
“Let’s call this what it is: a disgusting abuse of power and a farce,” wrote Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D-IL). “As his agents terrorize Minnesotans, as prices rise, as he fails to deliver for Americans, he is also weaponizing the DOJ against his perceived enemies. This is not a banana republic and justice will prevail.”
“Everyone who isn’t employed by this administration knows that they are losing this fight badly,” wrote Minnesota-based polling analyst John Hagner. “Regular politics still exists in this country, and they should be looking for off-ramps. Republican elected officials around MN and the country will pay for their inability to do so.”
It’s a matter of the Republicans seeing the writing on the wall and backing away slowly. The polls are just polls, and they are for a certain time, true, but when the results are consistent everywhere, and the scores are underwater, it’s time to take notice. *Everything* is sliding downhill more and more quickly. And we know it. Too bad the government is pretending it’s not happening. Well, what goes around comes around.

As is typical, Drumpf whined for nearly 4 years that the Biden Administration was “weaponizing” the DOJ against him and, in the past year, he’s done EXACTLY the same thing.
Well, okay. Not “EXACTLY” as the Biden DOJ was investigating and prosecuting Drumpf for LEGITIMATE matters while Drumpf is just doing it for whatever feeble matter crosses his slimy, lizard brain at the moment.
