It appears that House Speaker Mike Johnson took some time off from planning to cripple the economy by throwing a monkey wrench into the budgeting process ahead of the election to facilitate the former thug-in-chief’s incursion into Arlington National Cemetery – where his crew assaulted a female staff member for trying to enforce the law against staging campaign events among recently fallen heroes whose living family members might object to a grinning idiot striking his thumbs up pose next to their loved one’s final resting place. The linked article does not mention how Moses Mike persuaded the Army officials who oversee Arlington, and who were undoubtedly afraid that the Orangeutan would do exactly what he did, to allow the cretin entry, beyond stating that he “pulled some strings”. I would guess that the strings he pulled were purse strings – i.e. threatening to downsize the appropriations needed to maintain the cemetery – if they did not allow Trump into the hallowed ground to show his ass. But that is just speculation.
“Speaker of the House Mike Johnson had to intervene to get former President Donald Trump into Arlington National Cemetery for the third anniversary of the Afghanistan withdrawal with Gold Star families, a family told the Daily Caller,” according to the right-wing website.
That source also reportedly told The Daily Caller, “Arlington Cemetery officials claimed the families didn’t want any media, photography, or videography at Section 60, contradicting what the families had actually requested. The families were fine with the media, designated by the Trump team, but Arlington kept pushing back, obstructing the process.”
Not all families were fine with Trump’s appearance and photography.
“The family of a Green Beret who died by suicide after serving eight combat tours and is buried at Arlington National Cemetery expressed concern on Wednesday that Donald J. Trump’s campaign had filmed his gravesite without permission as Mr. Trump stood in an area where campaign photography isn’t allowed,” The New York Times reports. “Relatives of Master Sgt. Andrew Marckesano issued their statement two days after Mr. Trump’s visit.”
Sorry about the “Daily Caller” link, but hey, they reported the story. At least I spared you quotes from their article which was much more sympathetic to Team Turd.
So – now MAGA Mike is caught up in this scandal, which is neither a dust-up, kerfuffle, or misunderstanding as Republicans like to claim but is an issue which will continue, I predict, to make news and end up costing them in the coming election.
This incident perfectly encapsulates everything the public dislikes about Trump – his brazen disregard for decency, civilized norms and the law, and his utter contempt for the sacrifices made by our brave men and women in uniform and their families.
Johnson is probably safe from the voter’s wrath in his safe red district in Louisiana, but when he wakes up on November 6th and they have turned out enough of his Trump enabling buddies to snatch the Speakership from him he might regret his role in all of this.
At least I hope.

If George Washington was still the Commander In Chief…he’d have that traitorous pissant HUNG!
Funny isn’t it, that he didn’t care to observe the first or second anniversary. What is it about this year? If I could just put my partisan on it…
I have submitted a form to DoJ demanding von shitzinpants be charged for breaking the National Cemetery Law. I hope others do as well. Maybe if enough folks submit forms with their outrage at shitzi getting yet ANOTHER pass, we will finally see some justice being done.
That this p.o.s. johnson helped with this disgraceful and disrespectful act should come as no surprise: I’m sure he holds our military and veterans in the same contempt as shitzi.
p.s. if anyone does file a form at DoJ, please include johnson’s role in this crime. Might as well bring all the criminals down in one fell swoop. I know, wishful thinking.
