This is from a couple of days ago, but worth it to still bring it to you.

This was certainly poetic justice. She had been bullied by Nancy, and she handled that gracefully. But the South Carolina governor primaries are done now. The arrogant Nancy Mace failed in a major fashion. Now she has only one thing to say to Nancy. It’s a killer. My compliments to Raw Story:

Rep. Sarah McBride (D-DE) got the last laugh against Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), following the latter’s relentless anti-LGBTQ bullying stunts. Mace, who originally described herself as “pro-transgender rights” as recently as 2023, took a hard turn to campaign against any expression of transgender identity in public spaces. When McBride became the first transgender person elected to Congress, Mace introduced the proposal to bar her from the women’s restrooms on Capitol Hillproclaiming, “The sanctity of protecting women and standing up against the Left’s systematic erasure of biological women starts here in the nation’s Capitol.”

Yes, she certainly took that hard-right turn. She made such a big deal over it that it was ridiculous. The rule limiting bathrooms probably got passed so Speaker Johnson could get her to shut up. She did go on and on about it, excessively so for a single person, showing her (ridiculous) racism to one and all. She was even proactively limiting anyone who came to the Capitol. This was so petty and stupid on Mace’s part that it was almost laughable. She even deadnamed Ms. McBride, who refused to answer to that name. My memory on that one isn’t as clear.

Flash forward to tonight, where Mace ran an aggressive and vocal campaign for governor of South Carolina, only to lose out on President Donald Trump’s endorsement and come in fifth place in a crowded primary. McBride reacted to the news with a short quipreported by Axios’ Andrew Solender. “Congress’ top bathroom sheriff, Nancy Mace, was on the ballot,” said McBride. “And while all of the votes have not yet been counted, she’s in a respectful 5th place. I don’t like to punch down, and I believe in the politics of grace, so I’ll just say, Happy Pride, Nancy.”

Scorch! Someone get the fire extinguisher! Ms. McBride’s answer was polite yet beautifully deadly! Kudos to her! And in the meantime, Nancy Mace is probably still sulking about her loss. Let her sulk. It means she will shut up for a while. She shouldn’t have tried for governor in the first place. People remember the nasty news she has generated. It’s surprising she got any votes at all. Congrats to Congresswoman McBride. She won that beautifully.

See you soon!

Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that, of all the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

  1. Mace and McBride both appear white to me. Where is the racism that you are accusing Mace of? You wrote:

    Thank you for your time.
