[And following the idiocy of Patel from Ursula, here’s our next idiot, and the IG report has already been released.]
Well, now, this guy is not just having a bad day, he’s having a bad *year*: all fluff, no substance. There’s no redeeming him, not anymore. The harder he tries to protect himself, the worse his situation becomes. It’s further down the slope every day. He can’t “man up” enough to admit he’s wrong. He cannot accept responsibility. Ever. It’s always blaming someone else. From Raw Story:
As Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth faces increasing scrutiny for reportedly being part of a war crime, his first blunder as Pentagon chief is about to raise its head again, according to an analyst. During a discussion on MS NOW’s “Morning Joe” about the latest scandal engulfing Donald Trump’s appointee, co-host Jonathan Lemire pointed out that a report on the so-called “Signalgate” fiasco has been sent to lawmakers and is expected to be released in the coming days. As he told his co-hosts, “A bad week for Pete Hegseth? It’s about to get worse. Remember Signalgate when Pete Hegseth texted those on classified plans on Signal?”
Ah, yes, Signalgate. TWO of them. And as a reminder, one of the people in that chat was *talking to Putin* at the time the first one happened. Air strikes are happening with classified information going across that first chat. And then it’s going out *again* to his wife and family! Could he be any more of an idiot??!! Hegseth should have been in a SCIF, not on a publicly available app. And it can be hacked. Think about all the people all over the world who get caught by a scam. Hackers are smart, or they wouldn’t be able to be hackers. That little detail is one that doesn’t get mentioned except in passing. After all the DOGE crap, it should be considered.
“Now, is this where he went on a public app?” co-host Scarborough joked. “Yeah. And said the kind of like Martin Sheen and The Dead Zone. ‘Gentlemen, the missiles are flying.’ In this case, he was saying we’re going to be launching an attack.” He then added, “You just couldn’t do anything more reckless or irresponsible as far as putting people’s lives in danger when they’re about to go on a mission.” “And the Pentagon’s inspector general investigation into Signalgate — that report has been transmitted to the Hill and will be released this week,” Lemire responded. “So Pete Hegseth, already under fire now, will have this as well.”
This should be good! Signalgate coming back when he’s already in trouble? Oh, yes. He’s trying to cover his ass and throw the military under the bus with the survivor killing near Venezuela. If the hammer comes down on him for this first f*ckup, it may make things a little easier to get him OUT of the government. As we’ve said before, Trump’s cabinet is worthless, chosen for looks, not capabilities. It’s one mistake after another. It seems like one of them has something in the news every day.
Turning to MS NOW contributor Richard Hass, he added, “If there was ever a moment for the administration to turn the page on Pete Hegseth, Richard, it would seem like this could be it.” “This could be it,” Haas agreed. “This president, though, this time around, doesn’t want to see Trump 1.0 repeated. So he’s obviously going to dig in as long as he can – until he can’t.”
Ba-bin, badda BOOM. We could hope “can’t” comes sooner than later. We need to get the cabinet falling down like dominoes – push one over and the others will follow. Petey Boy is a danger. Petey Boy loves the power but not the responsibility. He needs to get gone. Now. (And what’s up with his obnoxious ties?)
Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise, among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula
