I hope everyone enjoyed yesterday’s whitewashing of the Trump arraignment, in which he was arrested, fingerprinted and charged, all out of the public eye, only to emerge with no bond posted or restrictions on his movement, other than an admonition not to be in contact with his his co-defendants which he promptly violated by taking his box moving body man out for a Cubano at a restaurant filled with his supporters.
Fox News last ran a clip of the Cubano fest in the background as they interviewed half- Governor Sarah Palin and asked if, heaven forfend, all these folks supporting the walking-National Security-risk were exhibiting cult-like behavior.
Her answer, while containing a denial, included a spot on definition of the major MAGA malady, which she then tried to project onto we Democrats.
“No. The definition of a cult is a group of people who are excessively supporting one another and a cause, all about conformity and compliance, and intolerance of anyone who doesn’t agree with what their mission is.”
As Flo from “Mel’s Diner” used to like to say…
“That would make a cat laugh.”
The Recount on Twitter has the video:
Sarah Palin asked if Trump supporters are cult members: “No. The definition of a cult is a group of people who are excessively supporting one another and a cause, all about conformity and compliance, and intolerance of anyone who doesn’t agree with what their mission is.” pic.twitter.com/9oQPlwcSlD

Along with some indignant responses:
For the first time in her life she actually seems to know what something is. She just defined the cult of the big lie

Wouldn’t you know it, she finally strings some words together in an intelligible order and screws up the context.
Definitely not a cult. pic.twitter.com/0lBj27lOZi

She could have saved time with “yes”
— Brian Brewer (@bbrewerstandup) June 14, 2023
👍👍👍
Amazing… she got almost everything right… except the "No."… that could be considered an informed, articulate comment… just doesn't make sense how she can say no, it's not a cult, then go on to describe a cult, and at the same time, describe Trump's cult… alt-reality…

Yup

Probably lucky to not be in the hospital, Sophie.
Irony is dead.

And buried beside Ivana in Bedminster.
She’s SO CLOSE to getting it

Just 30 or 40 IQ points shy.
The irony of asking a cult member to comment on …
… cult members.
— Mae (@MMBrussell) June 14, 2023
Yup
I suppose the first step in being a cult is never acknowledging it is one.

If insight were gunpowder, the entire cult couldn’t blow their collective noses. I didn’t agree with John McCain on a lot of things. I did admire him as a veteran. He endured a living hell for five years, as a POW, and could have left early since his father was an admiral. He refused due to his code of honor. He also stood for the healthcare Obama proposed, which has saved untold lives. This talking hairdo was one of his worst decisions. Has ANY cult member EVER realized they belong to a cult? Cults do not tend to attract rational people who think for themselves. She does not meet the criteria for being a rational human being.

It is palin after all. Why would anyone think otherwise.
Another christo-fascist!!!
Lindell, and then Palin? What is this – “Aw sh*t I thought we’d finally heard the last from them and they’re back on TV” week? They say bad things come in threes – is Rudy about to turn up again?
Palin has long reigned as the queen of right-wing idiocy… but more recently the GOP said, “Hold my beer.” Now we have Granny Oakley and Marge McSpacelaser to lower the bar even further.
If you want a good laugh, may I suggest Granny Oakley embarrassing herself at a House hearing on public urination in D.C. The ignorance is strong with this one:
She’s upset about public urination, but I guess hubby flashing his penis to girls at the bowling alley is fine. Duh? People of Colorado…please visit a more oxygen rich elevation. My sneakers are smarter than your ELECTED member,(no pun aimed at hubby), of congress. Maybe have a moratorium on hitting the bong during the elections. You’re causing Game cigars to fly off the shelves elsewhere. Not me of course.
