Interesting how Rudy Giuliani is a blameless, innocent guy and has nothing to say to the Georgia district attorneys about voting fraud. You would think that a fellow like that would race to his deposition in order to clear his good name and set the record straight once and for all.

You would think so but you would be wrong. Giuliani is scheduled for a deposition August 9 and he’s doing his damnedest to cancel it. He says he can’t fly. This is probably due to the severe trauma that he incurred when somebody tapped him on the back in a grocery store but we can’t be sure. Raw Story:

Giuliani’s attorney, Robert Costello, said that the judge had excused his client from testimony on Tuesday.

According to court documents, Giuliani provided prosecutors with evidence that his doctor had ordered him not to fly.

But Fulton County Deputy District Attorney Will Wooten called Giuliani’s bluff.

“We do not consent to change the date,” Wooten told Costello in an email. “We expect to see your client before the grand jury on August 9, 2022, here in Atlanta. We will provide alternate transportation including bus or train if your client maintains that he is unable to fly.”

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney will hear arguments Tuesday on Giuliani’s motion to delay his appearance.

I don’t know why Giuliani wants to postpone the inevitable. The optics are not good and why go to the time and expense? It’s not like Giuliani has money to burn. Au contraire, if he doesn’t square things up with his ex wife, she’s going to do her best to get him a lengthy vacation at the House of Many Doors.

All Rudy’s delay tactics do is shine a spotlight on the situation.

  1. It IS possible that because of Rudy’s favorite drug, the airlines are taking precautions against bringing dangerous quantities of highly flammable liquid aboard their flights … with his saturated blood stream looking for any sparks or open flames, he is a walking firebomb … /S

  2. Grab a Fulton County LE type and a full-fledged paramedic (if not an ER doc – I’m sure they wouldn’t have much trouble finding a volunteer), book them a flight to NYC and also train tickets (good ole Amtrack) from there to Georgia – then go to the judge and provide proof they are all set to make sure Rudy gets safely down there to testify. Oh, and for good measure transportation back with the same escorts. Then ask the judge to enter a bench warrant if Rudy says he can’t/won’t fly down there.

  3. Hey. How about a midnight raid with commandos, placing a rubber ball in his mouth, then ziptie his hands, placing a burlap bag over his head & transporting him to his legal responsibility? I will never understand why the LAW tolerates lawyers who violate the LAW. Your fraternity isn’t setting a very good example.

  4. The court should assign medical personnel to escort Mr Noun-Verb-911 to Atlanta. If necessary, transport him in a police van. In the back.
