Less than a week ago the January 6 Committee received forged Certificates Of Ascertainment from the National Archives. These certificates declared that the Trump/Pence GOP ticket had won in the states of Michigan and Arizona. This is flat out forgery and untruth, yet we live in such a numbed down, as well as dumbed down, country these days, that stories that would have made screaming headlines a few short years back are now part of the new abnormal of politics. This story got sorted along with all the others in the Big Lie/Stolen Election category and the significance of the raw criminality involved was not duly noted, as it should have been.
The forged Certificates of Ascertainment are a smoking gun and the slates of “alternate electors” is yet another. Both of these instrumentalities were weapons under the control of the John Eastman/Rudy Giuliani cabal, which had a war room at the Willard Hotel in late December, 2020, early January 2021. Their hired gun was one Jeffrey Clark at the Department of Justice.

Stop and pause for a moment, because there is a pattern here which Trump is avidly invested in trying to recreate right now, in advance of the 2022 elections. The pattern is that our system of checks and balances, the linchpin which holds our system of government together, was being eroded here. Jeffrey Clark was at the DOJ to play his role, the people who cobbled together the forged certificates were there to do their role, Kayleigh McEnany was doing her disinformation role, and so on and so forth.
And Trump’s current attempts to have MAGAs elected to key positions in government, where they will be the ones in charge of certifying elections, must be watched closely. Trump intends to plant an army of vipers and at the right moment, they will all strike and inflict a mortal wound on democracy. That’s what they tried last year, that’s what they’re going to try this one, too.
Keeping Trump in power, restoring Trump to power, yea verily, that is the cult’s purpose. They live for nothing else. And don’t waste your breath trying to show them how when Trump was in power it worked against their own best interests. They don’t want to be bothered with fact. They want to live in a dream state and imagine how grand their alternate reality will be, once they can manage to conjure it up.
And Trump is hell bent on conjuring it up for them, because it will help him with his financial and legal woes, which are accumulating even as we speak.
Trump doesn’t have a lot of choices right now. He’s got problems with the Manhattan D.A., the Attorney General of New York state, the January 6 Committee, his kids have been subpoenaed with respect to one matter, his former chief of staff with respect to another, his CFO is in hot water along with his former bodyguard, it just doesn’t stop.
The madcap truth of the matter is, getting his henchmen to protect him in Congress in 2022, assuming they can get back in power and doing a Grover Cleveland in 2024 might be the only way he’s going to survive at all. I think that he may well have concluded the same thing and that’s what he’s betting on.
45 is losing it – running in 2024 and WINNING?! We’re doomed then. But there may be someone else who comes forward to follow through on his destruction, if he shows his dementia more. Hubby was freaked at how close we came to Germany 1929. Way too close.
Trump didn’t come up w/ this plan. He couldn’t strategize himself out of a paper bag. I now have hope that the originators of this mishegas will be indicted. The indictments of the Oath Keepers was very welcome news.
I’m still stunned there are so many brain-dead trombies that think he was not just a good, but a great president, instead of the actual trainwreck he was.

Who connected Flynn or one of his compatriots to Jeffrey Clark? Flynn was openly denying the election, but getting a DOJ lawyer involved? There are so many threads here to unravel.
Clark violates the trust of one of the highest offices in the land. Committed fraud & insurrection. Still free. Sure. The system works. Wonder how many poor citizens have been put in zip ties since 1 year ago? 2.3 million in jail for much much less. Sure. The system works, for the rich. Cue up the excuses.
I was particularly moved by the film they had of I believe Michigan but I could be wrong. But there was a group of republicans that tried to get in the capital and they were met by a armed police officer that told them that the building was locked down for security reasons and that the electors were already in the building. The little crowd of minions seemed quite upset by the officer flat telling them they weren’t coming in and there were several more uniformed people behind him. He found it rather amusing. And these same clowns should lawyer up quickly because I don’t think the attorney general I think anyway the lady showing the clip and she said she’s got there names because it was the ones that signed the forged documents.
She’s not gonna do shit. I heard her on Maddow saying the feds should do it…bet if I smoked a blunt on the steps of the statehouse, she’d have the police act immediately. U can’t elect cowards & expect to win the war. These rich white politicians don’t know what real trouble is. They are about to find out when they stand by & let the fascists walk on their crimes.
