The Trump Truth Store in the Chicago suburbs had to close temporarily as sales plummeted during the widely unpopular Iran war, The Chicago Tribune reported. The MAGA-themed business based on President Donald Trump’s Truth Social platform in Crystal Lake abruptly closed, according to The Tribune. Owner Lisa Fleischmann announced that the store would remain shuttered in a Facebook post on March 26.
Heh. This is what happens when you believe in Trump. You’re the one who gets shafted. And Trump will still expect his cut. We can bet she’s unhappy she did this now. Any place that has Trump’s products is likely seeing its business nose-dive. We can feel both bad and good. Leaning more towards the good, y’know?
“I am not even making ½ of my rent,” Fleischmann wrote. “I never did this for the money, but I don’t know how much longer I can last paying for all the stuff.” She told The Tribune that sales had dropped after the U.S.-Israeli military strikes in Iran started on Feb. 28. She thinks people were hesitant to purchase pro-Trump items or clothing amid the military conflict.
Well, my goodness gracious, we wonder why? Could it be that people detest the war and think we never should have started it? Could it be that easy? Why yes, yes it can. People are getting unhappier by the day. Hegseth and Trump are making it worse by the day. They won’t listen. Ever. Now we’re losing top military with the experience we need in this thing, thanks to Hegseth’s paranoia.
“Sales were really slow. It all started with the war. It was dead as a door nail the minute that happened,” Fleischmann told The Tribune. “I think (customers) are unsure what’s going on. Not everyone. But I think a majority of people are unsure what’s going on. … And if you wear it, they feel someone might come up to them and ask them questions.” A poll released by the AP-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research on March 25 cited that most Americans disapprove of the war in Iran — 59 percent believe that military action has gone too far.

The market for all that garish Trump gear died once Trump stopped his rallies. That’s where all the head-to-toe-Trumpshit wearers gathered, to show off their costumes, to have their rage and racism re-confirmed and to party with like-minded morons. They knew that they couldn’t wear it even to Walmart without getting hassled or, worse, laughed at. Ms Fleischmann should have seen the end approaching.
Y’know, I hadn’t considered that aspect of it. They certainly can’t wear it much these days, for sure. With the way Trump’s term started, and what he’s done since then, they certainly aren’t going to want to wear it out in public now. As you said, it would be a lesson in humility. I wonder if my Trump-supporting family members have realized that yet. I can hope….
