Oh, my, this was (is) an eye-opener. Petey Boy may be up to his ears in alligators when you layer this on top of all the bullsh!t he’s already done. Yes, still pissed how he handled the loss of 6 American lives. Someone weighs in on a particular action of his, and it’s not good. It could be *very* bad, not just bad. Remember, he’s the Department of War Crimes. Thanks to Raw Story:
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s latest “quiet death” strike may amount to a war crime, according to one analysis. This week, it was revealed that the U.S. torpedoed an Iranian warship called the “IRIS Dena” off the coast of Sri Lanka while it was returning home from planned military exercises with India. The torpedo killed more than 80 Iranian soldiers. It was the first time in 80 years that the U.S. had sunk an enemy warship in international waters, according to reports, and sparked outrage from Iranian officials like foreign minister Abbas Araghchi, who described it as an “atrocity.”
What the HAIL was he thinking? Sinking a ship in *international* waters? A ship that was returning home and had not attacked an American ship? Dude. Who told him this was legal? Because it certainly isn’t. And what about the people he ordered to shoot the Iranian ship? Will they be pulled up for their actions? Only Petey Boy needs to have the responsibility for this. It’s surprising they didn’t refuse the strike.
In the wake of the operation, Hegseth described it as “quiet death” during his public remarks on Wednesday, Time Magazine reported. Mary Trump, a psychologist and author, argued in a new Substack essay that Hegseth’s comments revealed the “reckless and deeply troubling mentality guiding the Trump regime’s military decisions.” “Legal experts have noted that sinking a ship in international waters, particularly one reportedly unarmed and returning from a training exercise, could constitute a war crime under international law,” she wrote.
If only he could be taken down for this. And if Jack Smith could prosecute him, now wouldn’t that be something? We *know* that Mr. Smith is more intelligent and definitely has more legal knowledge. That would give us sweet, sweet dreams. Mary Trump’s input on this is seriously the cherry on top of a sundae. We all know how messy sundae’s can be, and it’s a good description of what Petey Boy is doing. He’s a dick.
“Oil prices are climbing, and the geopolitical stakes are soaring,” she continued. “Russia, which does not rely on the Strait of Hormuz, stands to profit from chaos it had no hand in creating. I know it is hard to believe, but once again, Donald did something that benefits Putin. Meanwhile, Ukraine faces another blow: rising energy costs and distracted global attention weaken the support it depends on.” Trump said the attack amounted to “wasted lives and no accountability.”
No accountability? What the hail does that mean? There d*mn well should be an investigation. We torpedoed an unarmed ship that was not engaging with our ships. They were simply going home. How many families lost someone for bullsh!t. War or not, we need to think about the people who have lost someone, and Petey Boy does not. He has no empathy, and it’s causing him problems. We can be sure there is more to come.
See you soon!
Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise that among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

I saw on tv, where a military expert said that the strike on the school in Iran was most certainly intentional. He said the school was like 9 times. I’m sure there are plenty more war crimes this administration is committing.
Hegseth wants Armageddon.
