Every so often, there is a mean part of me that glories in idiots being caught, and this is one of them. Oz has been busted. Why did it take so long? Huh. Went and checked on something, and it was a surprise. This fool actually *is* a medical doctor. He certainly doesn’t behave like one. None of us would trust him with anything medical because he’s also a fraud in his current position. He has no idea what he’s doing besides attacking people from other countries with lies. (Remember the family run meat market he said was actually run by the mafia? Hopefully they will win their lawsuit against him.) Let me tell you more about this one. Gratitude to Raw Story:
An investigative journalist was in disbelief Friday as President Donald Trump’s Medicare chief was caught using wildly inflated numbers to attack a Democratic state — then his own agency admitted the figures were bogus. A new analysis from investigative journalist Marcy Wheeler flagged that The Associated Press caught Mehmet Oz, head of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, using fabricated Medicaid numbers to attack New York — and then forced the agency to admit the figures were wrong.
Now isn’t that a lovely sight to see? That’s quite a lie there. Perhaps he thought no one would figure it out, but The AP did, and told all of us about it. You have to love mainstream media actually doing the right thing. We’d best make a note of it, because we don’t know if or when it will happen again. Oz was certainly a good choice for Trump, since once again, he’s someone who does the same things. Lies, lies, damn lies. He doesn’t care if he hurts people. Some doctor.
Oz claimed New York’s Medicaid program provided personal care services to roughly 5 million people last year, nearly three-quarters of the state’s entire Medicaid enrollment. “That level of utilization is unheard of,” Oz declared, suggesting the state needed to “come clean.” The actual number was about 450,000 people, roughly 6 to 7 percent of enrollees. CMS admitted to the AP that the agency had “misidentified New York’s approach to applying billing codes and had since refined its methodology.”
Sure, they did. It was wrong all the time. They had to admit it. Oz doesn’t seem to care about checking his sources. And the more he hammers on Democratic states, the happier Trump will be – except this time it backfired with a vengeance. We appreciate small gifts like this. Oz makes up whatever kind of rumors he wants to sell to hurt Americans, but only certain ones. The Medicare family is really important to our country for the people who have earned the right to use it. To add insult to injury, Trump is trying to privatize it. Heck no.
The man Trump appointed to lead his anti-fraud crusade used bogus numbers to manufacture a fraud scandal against a Democratic state. Wheeler argued this is the entire point. Trump fired eight Inspectors General who had identified $183 billion in actual fraud, much of it from Trump’s own COVID relief programs, then launched a splashy new fraud task force staffed with partisan operatives directed at Democratic constituencies. Meanwhile, Trump has pardoned nearly $2 billion in court-ordered fraud fines and restitution for allies, donors, and associates. “Any fraud but his own,” Wheeler concluded.
We screamed when we were told Oz would be the head of the Medicare family. We can scream even more now. Imagine going up to this man and telling him to his face that he is a liar and a fraud. Wouldn’t that be lovely? It would certainly be enjoyable! There’s definitely a chance someone could get to him and say so, unlike getting in Trump’s or Hegseth’s face. If they don’t see that they’re wrong, nothing will happen. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.
