Here we go again! We are so tired of the bluffs and the bravado and blustering. We just want him to shut up. But this is going about completely backward in his head, and, of course, he refuses to see it. Just gag him and take his phone away. Anything that silences him for even a few minutes would be worth it. (Hello, Mother Nature? Could you give us a hand, please?) From Raw Story:
Donald Trump’s “scathing” Truth Social rant in defense of his age and physical capabilities just made his problems worse, according to an analyst. Journalist and political analyst Hayes Brown appeared on MSNOW over the weekend, where he flagged a “chaotic and unprecedented” power play Democrats might be able to try. After that, he was asked about a recent New York Times piece about Trump and his aging. Of Trump’s defenses to the aging report, the host asked, “But you say all this does is prove the point. How so?”
Well, what do you know. Someone has come out IN PUBLIC and talked about Trump’s aging that he desperately (and defensively) tries to hide. He shows it every damn day. He insists he’s fine, but all you have to do is look at a recent picture to see the downhill slide. But he’s “perfect”. Methinks the Trump doth protest too much. He never really was much of a man, if you think about it.
He replied, “I think that if you are pushing 80 and unwilling to admit, yes, I am aging. Yes, I am slowing down. Yes, some things may take me longer, but I’m doing it the best I can, that I think, and just pretending it’s not happening, that is a hit to your credibility.” He continued: “Like the I know that the mythos that he’s putting out there, this aura of invincibility that he is eternal, that he is so powerful, so strong, the utmost of masculinity. I know that is what he puts out there to his base. That’s the image he wants to project, and that aging undercuts that.”
Well, ya think? I know a handful of people who used to be MAGA fanatics. When *they* start commenting about his age and appearance, it’s either an “about damn time” or “the end is near”, at least in terms of the two main reactions. More and more people are seeing that the aging, wannabe dictator is losing himself. He’s already lost his marbles. It’s all downhill now.
Brown went on to tie it all together, saying Trump is the victim and the cause of his own version of a “Streisand effect.” “So in trying to deny the fact that he is getting older, Trump is, I feel like drawing more attention to those moments where it’s obvious, like it’s almost a Streisand effect, you know what I’m saying?” he said Saturday. “Like, where even trying to deny a story and put something down, you’re drawing more attention to it.”
Bing-badda-BOOM. The more he screams, the harder people will look at him, and the more they will see that he is nowhere close to aging gracefully. He’s just aging. Grace has nothing to do with it. The day he leaves office, no matter how he goes (ha), is going to be a day of excessive partying across America. Those who are blind now will learn something on that day. Let’s hope for sooner rather than later.
Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise, among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

Your “… he is nowhere close to aging gracefully …” words cut true, and sit well with some of Shakespeare’s words, that also cut true, about you know who, being: You are “… Lily-Livered …” [Macbeth], and a “… candle, the better burnt out …” [Henry IV]. You are nothing but a “… sodden-witted lord! Thou has no more brain than I have in mine elbows…” [Trollus and Cressida]. Currently, a lot are silently watching and waiting “… you low-class scullion … you fat slovenly fustilarian … to tickle your catastrophe …” [Henry IV] and rejoice your well deserved end-point.
Okay, where can I put those so I can keep them for the future. And the Macbeth (I think) bit about Lady Macbeth can’t wash the blood from her hands. I know it’s also a Pontius Pilate (wow I can’t spell today) but Macbeth would be better. Thank you!
Me thinks the “winy man-child” doth protest too much!
Me agrees *laugh* it was the right thing to say there 🙂
